DS4J goes Back to School

Good morning everyone and a happy Wednesday to you all,
Today at Digistamps4Joy the challenge is "Back to School" and it is team B to provide the inspiration, so I have a card for you. In South Africa, we start our school year in January, but I do have grandchildren that are all ready for the new year.

The image that I used is 'satchel'. I printed it out 3 times, once onto DP and cut it out paper pieced it onto the original image, and then coloured the satchel with distress inks, cut it out  and raised it with 3D dots. Cut a banner and wrote the sentiment with a white gel pen to give a blackboard effect.
The background paper is from a pad by Cart-us, and just loved the bright colours.

OK now it is your turn. If you have a look at the  challenge blog, the other members of the team have some awesome cards to show, and their are great prizes to win. You do not have to have a DS4J image to take part, but of course if you do use one, you get extra chances in the draw, and you might even be invited to be a guest designer....

I am entering this in the following challenges;
Scrap-Creations challenge..back to school
Oldie but Goodie challenge..paper piecing...(my DSP is more than 6mnths old).
Lexi's Creations...Back to school
Make it Monday...Anything goes
My Grafico #135"> Back toi school
One stitch at a time #127"> Back to school
Sentimental Sundays #116"> Banners and Pennants
The Stamping Boutique Challenge #47..Banner days

That's all from me today...have a great day, take care, but have fun

This is beautiful, Ursula, and your coloring of the satchel is stunning. I have never used distress inks. Maybe I should find out what all the fuss is about.
Blessing hugs,
