Colour challenge at The Outlawz

Good morning friends
Hope you are all well settled into the week. It is a long week, as we had 2 weeks with holidays over the Easter period and now have to fave 5 full days...but I guess it will go all too quickly.

Yes we have  another Colour challenge at  The Outlawz for you today and this week our palette and inspirational photo was chosen by teamieTeresa, with the twist of  adding a crotcheted element.

Our sponsor for the month is Nana Vic's Digitals and she is giving a $12  gift voucher to the winner,
There are also some other sponsors for the monthly prizes, so lots to win.
Here is my card for this challenge

The paper I used is from Kaisercraft...Le Chateau collection. This particular one, has an embossed flocked finish and is so lovely and "rich" looking. It was the perfect colour as well and the cream has a very soft design to match.
I felt it was best left fairly plain because of the richness of the paper so, just punched the corners and my only embellishments are the double crotcheted flowers, (made the peach one myself and the cream one was a gift,,,it was white, but nothing that a little tea can't do....LOL)  pearls and ribbon.
The dies that I used are Nellie Snellen MFD.
Please go and have a look at the lovely cards made by my teamies...they are stunning and then  show us what you have created...we would love you to join in.

I am entering in the following challenge:
Craft your Passion106...Die cuts and punches
That's all I have to day, hope to see you soon and take care.

A new baby

Happy Saturday friends,
I hope you are all enjoying a lovely Saturday and relaxing, crafting, whatever as long as you are having fun.
Today I have a baby card, in fact 2 cards. We have had a new addition to our family...extended that is. My nephew and his wife had a little boy on Tuesday and Tristan is the first granchild for my SIL and BIL so needless to say they are thrilled.
The first card is for the new Mom and Dad and little baby and the second is for the proud grandparents.

I made this to enter in the CDAC progressive freebie challenge.
I used the sketch from  Creative Craft challenge
The image is from Mami Doodles and I just thought he was the cutest little bear for this card..coloured with aquarelle pencils and cut with an X-cut die, mounted with foam pads.
The papers I used are from "Me to you"... especially for you.
Sentiments are computer generated
finished off with brads, ribbon and a charm all from my stash.

I also decorated the inside with a lovely little poem "Why God made little boys"

I am entering this into the following challenges

My next card is for the proud Grandparents of Tristan

The papers I used were from my stash so don't have any names.
The image is a House Mouse stamp and was given to me by a blogging friend. Coloured with aquarelle pencils. The sentiment is computer generated and finished off with ribbon, brads and buttons.
I am entering this card in the following challenge:

Creative Belli blog..for a child

Sorry the photos are not that fantastic, the cards do look a lot better... but I needed to get the cards away, so had to take them last night.

This is how I used the colour combo this week:

I have kept my card fairly simple .. In the Northern hemisphere everyone is talking Spring, so I decided to go with flowers.  The paper I used is from Marianne Design...flower power and for the flowers I used a selection of MFD from Nellie Snellen, bling centre for the flowers  with some flower brads . The ribbon I found in my stash and it even matched the colours of the week. The sentiment was stamped onto a cutout from and X-cut die.

I am entering this in the following challenges

I wish you all a very good week and hope you will visit The Outlawz and show us what you have created. Take care and see you soon.

Watering the flowers

Good morning everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying a lovely Easter break. There seem to be many challenges out there with a "SPRING" theme, and after a long winter the Northern Hemisphere is bursting with spring feelings, but here in the South we are certainly experiencing the first feelings of winter, so to try and delay the thoughts of winter I have  something with a Spring theme.
Last week I attended a workshop at Country Crafts a local stamping and craft store and this was the project that Jenny had for us.

I will save this for a friend's birthday later as she loves flowers and her garden.

I am going to find some of those Spring themed challenges to enter this into.

Crafting when we can..things with wings...I have dragonflies and a butterfly
Just keep on crafting...anything goes
Craft us Crazy..anything but a card
CRAFT challenge Easter/Spring
A Muse Studio...Anything but a card

Hope you all enjoy the rest of the long weekend and enjoy whatever you are doing ...take care and see you back here soon for some of my regular postings.

Celebration!!!

Good morning friends and a happy Wednesday to you all,
Yes.... CELEBRATION ...with bling and glitter..is the theme for this week's challenge  at Digistamps4joy
I decided on a Wedding Celebration for my card

I made a gatefold card using a shimmer cardstock. It is in fact ivory, but on the photo looks more pinkish and used a Marianne Design die to cut the front edges.
The image is "Freckle faced bride and groom" coloured with aquarelle pencils and used rainbow stickles for the bride's veil and frosted lace for her dress.
The DP on the inside is from Papermania ...Confetti
Again used a MD die for the heart doily on the inside and backed it with a silver shimmer paper, did the same with the bell on the front.
The tag with the message which is computer generated is also a MD die.
The sentiment was stamped onto an X-cut label. Finished off with pearls, an "I love you" charm, ribbon and more glitter.
Please go and have a look at the other "Celebration" cards from the DT members, they are awesome and then we would like you to come and join us in this celebration.
If you don't have a DS4J image you may still enter, but you will get an extra chance if you do use one.
Looking forward to seeing what you can create.
Please be sure to stay in touch, we have some exciting things happening soon, will give you all the info in the next couple of weeks.
I am entering this card in a few challenges

Happy Easter at The Outlawz

Good afternoon friends,
Into the first week of April and being Tuesday we are having the  Colour Challenge at The Outlawz. Our twist this month is Artsy April. This week it was my turn to choose the colour palette and this was my choice:

I decided to make a card for the  Progressive Freebie challengeat CDAC and combining it with these colours, and I used the sketch from the Papertake Weekly challenge, for last week

The papers I used were all from my scrap box, so not sure of the DP. The green piece I put through the cuttlebug.
The image was from Stamping Dragon Designs and I coloured Miss Bunny with aquarelle pencils, and cut it out with one of my new X-Cut fancy dies, inked the edges. Ribbon was also from my stash and the little buttons I have had for ages, bought in The Netherlands. The "twist" in the challenge calls for beads to be used, so I did just that with a beaded pin, that I had once won in some candy.
The sentiment is from one of my blogging friends Hannelie a fellow South African living in Dubai. She is very generous with her sentiments, so maybe pay her blog a visit.

Now I would like to invite you to see the cards from my Teamies and join us with a project of your own. This month  we are sponsored by

Nana Vi'cs digitals with some gorgeous digis, and the prize is a $12 gift certificate in her store., so we would really love to see what you can create for our challenge this week.

I will enter my card in the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly challenge...Anything goes.  I used the sketch from last weekm but was too late for submitting my card.
Cute Card Thursday...Happy Easter
