Creat4Funchallenge

Got in early this week for this challenge. I followed their sketch and made a birthday card for Kellie my granddaughter. This is the last of grandchildren's birthdays for a few months.
Kellie loves horses, has her own, rides very well and loves pink.
Here is what I used:
Paper: brown cardstock for the card, matted pink and then 2 DP. the stripe paper is a smallpiece of making memories that I had and the pink was a freebie in a magazine. Used brown with a cuttlebug die and some brown for the piece in the middle
Image: A Mo 's digital image coloured with watercolour pencils and cut with a nestability
Embelishments: A horse brad from Upikit and a horseshoe peeloff. onto 2 brown nestability cutouts. A round brad "happy birthday"
Also decided to decorate the centre, with Nestability cutouts, horseshoes and flower.
Hope to get to do some more challenges done this week, but quite a lot going on, so will see how far I get.
Enjoy the rest of the Sunday,
Love to hear from you all.

Get Funky February challenge

Talk about "at the last minute." The challenge for February over at Get Funky was "The love of crafting". Well I managed to get in just in time. This is a box I made using their lovely downloaded papers, "hearts and flowers".
The box was made using my scor-pal and the design was from Kitty's crafts at http:// kittyfranken.blogspot.com. (Sorry I haven't yet mastered how to put the link in "here", so have to put the whole thing in, but will get there). I made it in no time at all, and Kitty has some lovely designs, tutorials etc.
Made this box for a friend , and will fill it with her favourite choccies. Hope she will like it.
I hope you all have a lovely relaxing, crafting weekend. For my friends in the Northern countries, I know you can't wait for spring, Well tomorrow is March, so it is on your doorstep. hang in there.

Artistic envelope swap

I have just taken part in a swap in my stamping group. The theme "Artistic Envelope"
We had to decorate our envelopes and post them off to on a specified date to the 17 ladies taking part. You can imagine a few days later there were many post boxes filled with pretty envelopes. In fact one postmistress at a member's PO asked when were we doing the next one, as she loved seeing the envelopes and even selected one that she thought was best.
I kept mine very simple and stamped Hero Arts flourishes with Colourbox "colonial blue" I then embossed one in silver and stamped "Happy Mail" from WOJ, embossing that in silver as well.
I have received some really stunning works of art.
Wishing you all a wonderful Monday and a very successful week,
Thanks for loooking

Teddy Stampers challenge

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderfully relaxing Sunday. At least we are having no rain today, plenty of warm sunshine, with just a hint of autum freshness in the mornings. Love that.
I have made a card for the Teddy stampers challenge, but have just realised that I am a week behind. The dry embossing was the previous challenge (where did the week go LOL), Saw the theme was LOVE for the new challenge and I have two hearts on this card, so "maybe"???? Anyway here goes. I enjoyed making it and it also serves for a card swap on a PCP blog "Pretty in Pink".
Paper: white cardstock and matted onto that another white card embossed with my brand new "Roses" cuttlebug folder.(this was one of the folders I chose with my voucher that I won on the cuttlebug blog challenge a few weeks ago)
Image : A digital image (not sure - it was cuddly something. Will have to note these down in future) Cut a circle with nestabilities, swiped the edge with pick stamp. I coloured with my Tombow markers and a bit of glitter on the bow. I used flower soft for the flowers. (not yet that familiar with it, need more practise) Glossy accents on the hearts to make them stand out.
Sentiment: Whiff of Joy
Ribbon from my stash and punched flower.
Hope to be back soon with some more, but still have a few swaps to get out of the way.
Have a good week everyone.

This is what has kept me busy this week

I have not been able to make a single card since
Sunday. Had so many orders for candles, for various functions, so most of them are done, just one big order still for Saturday. Best I get stuck into some cards right away, as I also have a few swaps to finish off. Almost weekend, for those out in the corporate world. Hope to post a card soon.

Monochromatic card

This card I made for a challenge at our "WISH" meeting today. (WISH stands for women in stamping heaven)

It had to be a monochromatic card, and this is so NOT me. I didn't quite know where to start, but in the end I think it didn't look too shabby.

CS. black, grey and light grey.

Image - Craft Individuals (I got it from Nikki at Paperchain)was stamped in versafine black. I embossed a rectangle with my Nestabilities.

Running down the side I matted 2 strips cut with my dye from "Krealies".

Sentiment - One of the new stamps from Whiff of Joy.

Embelishments. 3 black pearls. Flowers layered with a pearl.

In the end quite enjoyed making it.

Valentine box

This little box was made for a challenge with the Scor-pal pals group and also for a Paper craft Planet challenge. The template can be found on Kitty's blog http://kittyfranken.blogspot.com/2010/01/nieuw-ontwerp. These will be little gifts to my students with a small treat inside around valentine's day.
With my scor-pal this little box is so quick and easy to make, ideal for any little gift or occasion.
