Last challenge for 2016

Good morning all,
Yes, the last colour challenge for 2016 has arrived and it is a  fun BINGO board to play along with. Laurian decided on this week's theme and the DT have made some exciting projects, so do come along and join in for the last challenge.

I decided to go with something CAS and used the centre row down for my card.

I used a gold card base and matted a white scolloped edge card.

The tag was cut with a Marianne Design die and embossed with a very old Cuttlebug folder. I distressed the card to bring out the white.
Gold twine for the bow.

The sentiment was cut with a Impression Obsession die.

Added gems and glitter for the sparkle.

Will enter some challenges,

Make it sparkle

Good morning friends and a happy Thursday to all.

It is a happy day indeed as we have had beautiful rain during the night. We have had some lovely rain the last few weeks, but as our dams are not yet full the water restrictions we are having are still in place...so the rain is just lovely for the gardens. I just hope more falls in the severe drought stricken a and  farming areas.

On to the challenge. This is the midweek reminder for the challenge at Digistamps4Joy the theme is always ...Anything goes, but there is an optional twist. This time Lindsay has chosen for  "Make it sparkle" and the DT have awesome project for inspiration.

I am a little sad, as this is my last DT card for DS4J. After 5 years on the team I have decided to step down for various reasons, but mainly as hubby and I are planning quite a bit of travelling the next year. They have been wonderful years and I have made many super friends and  with Margaret at the helm the past 4 years it has been an amazing time. I wish her and her team great success in the future.

On to my card:

I have used the image Bells are ringing. Cut it out with a Nellie's MFD and matted onto a scolloped oval cut out of a shimmer paper. I have added pearl makers and glitter to the image

The sentiment is a peelof and the ribbon is sparkly as well.

Added pearls to finish off.

Entering the following challenges:

Crafty Gals Corner #101...Anything goes
Creative Moments #108...Anything goes
Fab n Funky #331...Glitter and sparkle
Inspiration Destination #116...Anything goes
Wonderful Wednesdays...Anything goes

I hope you are all having a great week, not too cold where it is winter.   We are having a holiday tomorrow so a long weekend and the start of the great exit to the coast and holiday areas. Safe travelling for anyone on the roads..wherever you may be going.  Take care and see you soon.

A gift bag this week

Good morning friends,

Yesterday was the start of a new  Colour challenge at The Outlawz. Jeanie chose the theme to make a gift bag or box with these lovely colours and a twist of adding lace

The prize this month is a $10 gift certificate for any online store.

The DT have made lovely projects and have links to show how they are done.

I rather liked the idea of a gift bag, as I need some for gift cards for my teenager grandchildren, so made this one, but of course in my rush forgot about the twist....so no lace on mine.

It is made from one sheet of paper, folded and glued together. It has 2 pockets, so perfect for that gift card or a small gift and a card.

I used a Papermania sheet.

Red and white cord for the handles and a felt snowflake tag.

This shows the two compartments

I will enter some challenges:

Use a button at The Outlawz

Good afternoon  from a very warm Johannesburg,

Running a little late, but had to be out this morning, so here I am now. I was privileged to choose the colour palette and twist for this week's Colour challenge  at The Outlawz. I loved the pretty colours on the photo and the buttons appealed to me, so that is the twist this week ..to add a button or two.

We hav e no sponsor this month, but there is a $10 Gift Certificate for the winner for the store of her choice.  So come along and play.

The DT have all made super projects for inspiration.

My card is another fairly simple one. At the moment, I am selling more of these than the very busy ones....maybe it is that I am selling to a number of older people and they like less fussy...

The paper is from my stash.

I used a stamp that was a freebie in a magazine some time back. Inked it with 2 colours of Distress inks, and cut out with a scolloped MFD.

Added buttons for the centres of the flowers and added some pearl maker dots on the buttons.

The sentiment is from a collection of Hero Arts stamps.

Finished off with blue pearls, but they look more green on the photo.

Will enter it in some challenges:
Heartful Stamping ...Anything goes
Stamping Sensations ...Floral fancies
All Sorts challenge #392...CAS
Brown Sugar #227...Anything goes
Creative Fingers #121 ...Anything goes

Have a wonderful week and take care. See you soon.

New challenge at Let's Craft and Create

Good morning and a happy Tuesday to all.
I am a day late, but not having internet for almost 3 days did cause a few problems. Changing to a new service provider does come with some problems, but I hope all is sorted.

Over at Let's Craft and Create the new challenge this month is....Christmas or New Year. The DT have made some gorgeous cards so please go and pay them a visit.

I have kept mine fairly simple with a precoloured Nativity image from Beccy's Place. I cut it out with a Nellie's MFD.

The paper is from my Christmas stash, which is slowly diminishing.

The sentiment is from the Nativity set of Beccy's.

Finished with some pearls.

Entering the following challenges:
Come and Get it ...Christmas
Beccy's Place...Anything goes
Dragonfly Dreams ...Christmas
Li'l Patch of Crafty Friends #47 ...Anything goes
Robyn's Fetish #345...Square or rectangle

December progressive challenge

Good morning friends,
It is already the 2nd of the month so am a little late posting this. The new Progressive challenge at The Outlawz started yesterday. If you have played with last month you will have received your new image. If this is your first time you need to let us have your email address and you can join in this month. If you make a card with the image you will receive the next month's image free.

This month we thank Sandi for the cute snowman image.

I made a side step card, using paper from an old paper bloc and cut a snowflake border die cut out of a blue glossy snowflake paper. Added a few snowlfakes and touched them all with some icicle glitter.

The image was coloured with Distress inkpads, also adding glitter and a few pearl drops. It was cut out with a Nellie's MFD and mounted on a scolloped diecut from the same set.

The sentiment is from a Docrafts Christmas set.

I will enter a few challenges:
