Freebie Friday at Digistamps4Joy

This is my card using this image.

 

 

Coloured the image with distress inks and cut out with my new Nellie Snellen MFD, matted onto brown cardstock.

Patterned paper is from CuddlyBuddy...bees. It was a freebie a long time ago, matted onto dark brown cardstock.

Sentiment is a DS4J image which is part of a valentine set and can be found HERE

Finished off with a ribbon bow onto which I stamped some small bees with Stazon ink.

The Outlawz colour challenge with Valentine

Good morning friends,
Firstly I would like to welcome my newest followers. I am so happy to have you join my little group and hope I will keep inspiring you to come back often and visit.




Today is another colour challenge at The Outlawz. This week the colour palette and twist was the choice of Roxann and she has challenged us to "make it Valentine" with these gorgeous colours.







This is my card and what I have used.

The image is Pompom love from Digistamps4Joy one of the new releases and you can find it HERE
Coloured with distress inks and added glossy accents to the heart.
The sentiment was a freebie from A Piece of Heart and Happy Valentine was printed on the computer.
Finished off with card candy.

A forest walk with Digistamps4Joy

Good morning everyone,
I hope you are enjoying the weekend, whether it is cold or hot...just enjoy having a free day. It has been a while since I was able to use one of the new release images at Digistamps4Joy  as I wasn't able to do so while on holiday.
The one I have used is Forest background and you will find it HERE
This is my card and I have also used the image Guinea fowl that you will find it HERE

 

I coloured the image with Pan Pastel chalks and Distress inkpads.

Cut a frame with a Marianne die and distressed it slightly with Distress stain.

Just added a sentiment from Whiff of Joy.

Cupcakes

Hello everyone,
Yes I have made a card. A new challenge #87 at Let's Craft and Create this week is Cupcakes.

  I made this card from a kit that I had from a class last year and never got round to finishing it off...so this was the ideal opportunity.


The template was in the kit I got from Jenny Willetts a card making friend.


Embossed with a CB folder.
Buttons are cut with  Joy crafts dies.
Stamped sentiments are Country Craft stamps
Ribbon and pearls to finish.

Will look for some challenges to enter.

I am back

Hello to all my friends,
Yes, we are back home after a lovely long holiday with our family in New Zealand. I did post some photos on FB from time to time, but just didn't get to do much here on my blog. Had a long trip back and were totally exhausted after a total of 32 hours from Auckland airport to JHB airport. 2 nights of erratic sleep is not making for feeling too great, but hopefully tonight will have more hours of sleep.

On a personal note  fair bit had happened here while away. I won't bore you will all the details, but we had unfortunately 2 break-ins. 1 into our caravan and 1 in our house, also an attempt, but just a window broken that time and a trellidoor slightly bent. So we now have to get all the insurance claims in and try and sort out some of the mess to see what has all been taken. It is the smaller less obvious things that are difficult.

On a very much sadder note, my hubby's brother passed away just over 2 weeks ago. He lived on his own, and when he did not arrive at a lunch appointment for his birthday his sister went to the house and they had to break in with police assistance and discovered he had died probably about 6/7 days earlier. It was very traumatic, with post mortems and lots of official investigations. Cause of death was from natural causes,  and today we had his funeral. Lots of cleaning up and sorting out at  his house to do, as well as disposing of the contents.

I have missed my craftroom very much and can't wait to get in at least 1 hour of crafting.....so please watch this space and hopefully tomorrow I will be posting something craft related. I will also try and visit some of your blogs over the next few days, as I have not been able to get to see all the wonderful projects.

Happy New Year

Good morning to all me blogging friends,
I would firstly like to wish you all the best for this year 2014. May you all be showered with good health, love, joy and all things beautiful.

We are still on holiday with our family in New Zealand and having a really great time with still 3 weeks to go.

I don,t have anything to show, and do miss my craft room, but might get something photographed that my granddaughter has helped with.

I am not one for new year resolutions, but in this year my aim is to make some Christmas cards early, as I had very few for posting last year and I want to try different techniques, so am planning to do at least one a month. I know it doesn't seem like much, but my DH and I are planning some big things this year, so that will also take up some time.....more about that will come up soon.

Midway reminder challenge #82...Anything goes at DS4J

Good morning friends,
This is a reminder of the challenge at Digistamps4Joy This challenge will run until Jan so you have plenty of time and the theme is Anything goes...so that is a bonus.

This post is going out very late, as we are now with our son and family in New Zealand on holiday.

I have made an easel card  using 2 images...Misteri gardener and garden gate, and they can be found HERE .  
I have coloured them with distress inkpads and  cut out Misteri  gardener and placed her with 3D foam blocks in front of the gate. I added some background clouds and stamped a flock of birds, with 2 butterflies add as well.
Paper ... the green is an embossed paper, that was lightly sanded and matted a piece from a vintage paper bloc.
Punched and diecut some flowers using Joycrafts and Nellie Snellen dies. Added flourishes cut with Marianne Design  dies, finished all with pearls and some gems.
The sentiment is  from a local company and cut out with a Nellie Snellen  mfd and then inked  the edges.

The DT  have all made some lovely cards and would love you to visit for inspiration...Remember  you do not have to use  a DS4J  image but you do get an extra chance if you do. We really look forward to seeing your creations.

Well I wish you all  a wonderful weekend. How are your Christmas preparations going? I am having a good time with my granddaughters, making some fun decorations.
