Happy Sunday and 1st May friends,
This is a record for me being my 3rd posting today.
Wow the year is sure marching on and so it is again a new Progressive Freebie challenge (PFC) at Digistamps4Joy FB. using this lovely image from Jen Lee called Tutu Tammy

This is how it works:
1. If you made a card for the April PF challenge, you can claim the May challenge from Karin by emailing her at karinerikvaneijk@hotmail.com
2. Make a card with this freebie and post it in this album (not the main group page please). To get it to show up on the main page, leave a comment under your photo after placing it in the album
3. At the end of the month,  a message will be sent to those who entered, and ask you to email  for the next freebie.
4. If you want to participate in our PFC, but missed the last freebie, you may purchase the current month's freebie from the store (http://digistamps4joy.co.za/eshop/index.php…), and then carry on participating from there onwards.

The paper is from my stash.

The image was coloured with Distress inkpads and cut out..a touch of glitter added

Good morning friends from a rainy Johannesburg.

It is such a lovely cool rainy day, I guess much like the Irish weather, so let me start by wishing all my friends a Happy St. Patrick's day. I hope the sun is shining for you.

There is a new progressive challenge on the Digistamps4Joy FB  group  https://www.facebook.com/groups/636935063114458/  You need to join the group and then you will be able to download this image 'Art Deco Beauty'.  Post your completed card in the album and at the end of the month you will receive another image....so easy.

A progressive challenge at DeeDee Designs.

Happy Sunday bloggers,
Have you realised this is the last Sunday in June? so  I am getting this card into the challenge with a few hours to spare.

Deedee's Digis has a progressive challenge running, and if you have joined you get a lovely set of images, some are coloured and also sentiments. Well worth joining.

For this month we had  the set called Diver Daniel.

For my card I used 2 of the precoloured images  ( a great time-saver) and a sentiment.

I used some paper that I made with the shaving cream technique, and thought it sort of looked like water. Matted this onto blue cardstock, and used the same paper with a Memory Box die, to cut some waves.

Added 3 dewdrops

A very simple card, but a bit of fun.

I will enter the following challenges:

Send a Smile 4 kids...Animal cards
Frosted Designs...Summertime blues

Dad's Day off

Happy Friday morning friends,

Progressive Freebie Challenge!
The end of another month is looming and I need to get some challenges done. Today I have a card made using an image from the May progressive challenge set from Deedee's Digis

This is a real fun way of getting some gorgeous new images and the set for this month is called Dad's day off. Perfect for a Father's day card, birthday or just because. I needed  to make a retirement card, and kept it fairly simple with no 'fussy bits' for someone retiring soon.

The paper I used was a freebie from Lisa of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, who is so generous with giving free papers from time to time. She also runs a progressive Christmas challenge, so worth paying her a visit.

I matted the patterned paper onto brown cardstock.

The image is a precoloured one from the set (quick and easy) and the 'retirement' sentiment is also from the set.

The sentiment was computer generated and cut out with a Nellie Snellen label die and attached with 2 metal button brads.

This was the set for May. It also includes precoloured images which can be a great help when in a hurry and if you would like to join, then go and see all the details on Deedee's blog

I will enter my card in the following challenges:
C.R.A.F.T challenge #313...Father's day/male
Crimbo Crackers #81...Anything goes
The Crafter's Café #118...One for the boys
Double Click challenge...Father's day or man
Mod Squad challenge...Masculine

 Word Art Wednesday #185...Anything goes
Wonderful Wednesday...Anything goes
Simon Says Stamp challenge...Anything goes
Tuesday Throwdown #246...Anything goes
Love to Scrap #54...Anything goes
The Pink Elephant challenge #300...Anything goes

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and get to do something that you really enjoy. Take care and see you soon.

Blooming Blessings progressive challenge

Happy Monday friends,

Do you ever find that somehow you loose days or they just disappear. Well I was so sure I still had a day to enter this challenge, but when I checked there was like 3 hours to get my card in. Thankfully it was just about done, but I still had to photograph it and it was not yet light here....so a little bit of panic, but as soon as the sun came out (thankfully blue skies today and no clouds) I took a photo....not perfect light, but.......

This is the set of images for the April progressive challenge at Deedee's Digis

This is the card I made using the blooms image.

The card I made is a multifold card
Paper - I used mostly paper from Michel R Designs...perfect petals and butterflies & hummingbirds.

I printed the image twice and coloured it. Then I cut out the flowers from the second image and layered them with silicone on the first image. I attached this to a Marianne Design diecut. Used some Pontura pearl makers for dots in the centre of the flowers.

The sentiment I stamped on the inside front.

Finished it off with ribbon, pearls and a metal corner.
I need to get this in before the deadline.

Will be back later to enter challenges.

Right on track for a Progressive challenge

Happy Friday friends,
It is almost the end of another month, but first I have to get my entry into the progressive challenge at Deedee digis with this card. Using the freebie set 'Right on Track' I made this card for a little guy who will be 3 in a few weeks.

I must say I have become very lazy with Deedee's images, because there are precoloured images in the set and it is so tempting to use these, especially when you are running out of time. So as you can see I have used the birthday set which is only one of the options.

I have kept it very simple and matted the image onto teal card and used a yellow card base.
The sentiment is one from the new Marianne Design set and cut it out with a label die from X-cut.
2 brads to hold it in place. 3 large round dots on right.
Will enter the following challenges:
Deedee Designs...Progressive challenge
Aud Sentiments challenge#128...Anything goes with a sentiment
Simply Papercrafts #1...Anything goes
Seize the Birthday...Anything goes
Inky Impressions #202...Bold and Bright

Sister Act Card challenge #99...Anything goes
Cardz 4 Guyz #63...Transport
Clear it Out challenge...Birthday ..stash..polka dots (not sure if round dots qualify)
Digi Chooseday #12...Lots of layers
Party Time Tuesday #196...Anything goes

That's all from me today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, doing something that you really enjoy. Have fun, take care.

Forever friends

Good afternoon friends,

The month is marching on and I still have to get some cards made before 28th. This is one of them.

The progressive challenge at Deedee's Digis for February had the theme Forever Friends. If you had played last month you will have received this lovely set of images and sentiments for this month.

It is so lovely when one can finish a card very quickly, and using the precoloured image 'Hugging Tigers" I was able to do just that.

I followed the sketch from Tuesday morning sketches for my card.

I embossed cardstock with a wood grain folder and sponged it with Distress ink. Matted it onto black card.

Cut out a black frame and mounted the round diecut with the precoloured image onto that.

Attached the sentiment with a twine and added 3 buttons.

Yay another project done before the deadline.

Will enter the following challenges:
Tuesday Morning Sketches #289
Deedee's Digi's...Feb progressive challenge
Clear it Out challenge...Animals..stash item ..striped paper. (Not sure if mine qualifies for striped)
Deep Ocean challenge #98...Our Furry friends
Digi Chooseday challenge #8...Anything goes

The Paper Shelter #192...Make it digital
Penny's Paper Crafty challenge #216...Lots of layers

Enjoy the rest of the week and thank you for popping in. I do love receiving visits and comments. See you soon and take care.
