Happy New Year

Heelo everyone,
This is my first post for 2018, so just want to wish everyone a wonderful year. May it be a healthy, happy and peaceful one.

I am a little late in posting this as the new Colour challenge at The Outlawz started on Tuesday, but having been away for a ten day break, I have been a bit slow in starting up this year.
Anyway it is a lovely challenge hosted by teamie Jacqui with some lovely neutral colours and great twist. The team have made some lovely projects for inspiration.

Our sponsor for the month of January is Fred she said

I decided to make a masculine card, as these are in rather short supply in my stash. I have also left off the sentiment, as I can add one when I need to use it.

The designer papers are from a pad of Prima Marketing ...time traveller's memories.
I also used brown card and some kraft card.

The rhino is a Nellie's die. Cut it out of kraft and black card and layered them on top of each other
for a shadow effect.

Finished with some raffia and a grey button

Will enter the following challenges:

4 Crafty chicks ...#385...No blues
As you Like it ...Anything goes
Crafting with an Attitude # 35...Anything goes
Craftaholics R us ..#2...Patterned paper
Crafty Creations #358...Anything goes
Crafty Gals Corner #156...Anything goes
Inspiration Destination #141...Anything goes
Little Red Wagon  #428...Boy Oh Boy

I would like to say thanks for visiting my blog and hope to see you back soon. Take care.

Dad's Day off

Happy Friday morning friends,

Progressive Freebie Challenge!
The end of another month is looming and I need to get some challenges done. Today I have a card made using an image from the May progressive challenge set from Deedee's Digis

This is a real fun way of getting some gorgeous new images and the set for this month is called Dad's day off. Perfect for a Father's day card, birthday or just because. I needed  to make a retirement card, and kept it fairly simple with no 'fussy bits' for someone retiring soon.

The paper I used was a freebie from Lisa of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, who is so generous with giving free papers from time to time. She also runs a progressive Christmas challenge, so worth paying her a visit.

I matted the patterned paper onto brown cardstock.

The image is a precoloured one from the set (quick and easy) and the 'retirement' sentiment is also from the set.

The sentiment was computer generated and cut out with a Nellie Snellen label die and attached with 2 metal button brads.

This was the set for May. It also includes precoloured images which can be a great help when in a hurry and if you would like to join, then go and see all the details on Deedee's blog

I will enter my card in the following challenges:
C.R.A.F.T challenge #313...Father's day/male
