Butterflies and roses

Happy Wednesday everyone,
The time does march on at quite a pace as the first week of July is behind us. I had a workshop yesterday at Country Crafts.
This was one of the cards, will show the second one later this week.

The image is one of the new  stamps from Noor designs, which I was lucky enough to get while on holiday recently, but Joan has them in her shop.

Card recipe:

Paper...Craft cardstock, core'dinations cardstock
Noor design butterfly border 6002/0251
Image...Noor design 6410/0043
buttons, cord...have had in my stash for so long

I inked the craft card, sanded and distressed the core'dinations card. Matted all onto the base card.
Stamped the image onto watercolour paper and coloured it with distress inkpads. Tore around the edges and distressed.
The butterfly border I also coloured with distress inkpads.
Added, buttons, cord and a flourish.

Will enter it in the following challenges:

Oldie but Goodie challenge...In the garden....buttons have had for many, many months

A little bit twisted

Good morning and a happy Monday to you all,
Firstly I just want to send good wishes to all my friends on the east coast of America in the path of Sandi. I hope you all will be spared much damage and stay safe. There have been some rather scarey happenings the last few days with tsunami warnings...thankfully not much happened and in our own country not on a huge scale but very bad rain, wind and hail storms with a lot of damage.

I have been rather busy the last week with workshops and just business in general. Coming to the time  of year with Christmas markets, everyone is painting up a storm and needing lots of glazing and items for firing.

This is a card I made for last Saturday's workshop. The ladies had asked to do some easel cards, so we did a basic and then this twisted easel. They were so happy with their cards, that it does give one immense pleasure. They are such a lovely group to work with.

The papers are from a local company and were distressed with frayed burlap for a vintage look.
Picture is from a Marianne Design..vintage sheet
The dies are my new Noor Design
Added tags, lace, ribbon, pearls a handmade rose.....part of the workshop.

Now to find a challenge or two.
Challenges 4 everybody#6...Anything goes
The Corrosive challenge blog#161.... Know when to fold them
That Craft Place...Tic,tac,toe...I used dies, lace and ribbon

Thanks for visiting, hope you all have a good week, stay safe and have fun.
Love, Ursula

Is it pumpkin time???

Hello to all my friends,
Wow, Wednesday has come and gone, and even though this is a short week for us, I am not sure where the last days have flown to.
My card was made with 2 challenges in mind.

The first is the Duo Challengeat Annette's Creafarm. She offers a free template, but you have to enter the challenge, or will not be entitled to another the next month. This month it was a mushroom, but instead of making a card with the template I made the mushroom and then attached it to my card.
The papers I used for the mushroom and the background were from a pad 'Garden Variety' by Cosmo Cricket.
The second challenge is Noor Design Facebook Group.  Jolanda offered a free digi...Timothy with Pumpkin for this group.
I coloured it with distress inks, cut it out and mounted it in front of the musroom. Added a fend and leaf branch from Marianne Designs and an extra couple of pumpkins I got as a freebie long ago.

I will enter the following challenges:
The Paper Shelter...Anything goes
Simon says Stamp challenge...Anything goes
Crafty Sentiments blog...Autumn colours

Enjoy the rest of the week, I hope the storms in the UK have no affected anyone...Take care and see you soon.

Love
Ursula
