A little bit twisted

Good morning and a happy Monday to you all,
Firstly I just want to send good wishes to all my friends on the east coast of America in the path of Sandi. I hope you all will be spared much damage and stay safe. There have been some rather scarey happenings the last few days with tsunami warnings...thankfully not much happened and in our own country not on a huge scale but very bad rain, wind and hail storms with a lot of damage.

I have been rather busy the last week with workshops and just business in general. Coming to the time  of year with Christmas markets, everyone is painting up a storm and needing lots of glazing and items for firing.

This is a card I made for last Saturday's workshop. The ladies had asked to do some easel cards, so we did a basic and then this twisted easel. They were so happy with their cards, that it does give one immense pleasure. They are such a lovely group to work with.

The papers are from a local company and were distressed with frayed burlap for a vintage look.
Picture is from a Marianne Design..vintage sheet
The dies are my new Noor Design
Added tags, lace, ribbon, pearls a handmade rose.....part of the workshop.

Now to find a challenge or two.
Challenges 4 everybody#6...Anything goes
The Corrosive challenge blog#161.... Know when to fold them
That Craft Place...Tic,tac,toe...I used dies, lace and ribbon

Thanks for visiting, hope you all have a good week, stay safe and have fun.
Love, Ursula

It has been a while

Happy Monday  to all my blogging friends,We came to the Netherlands 7 weeks ago and had hoped for a white Christmas, but that didn't happen..instead we had the warmest New Year in about 25 years....but we still hoped to see some snow and last Monday morning woke to a white world. The past week we experienced some really cold weather and in some parts of the country it was -22 the coldest in 27 years...here it was only -17..not too bad... LOL. We had more snow on Friday and since then it has stayed white and with the sun shining it is just beautiful to see....everyone was out skating and having fun on the ice and the temps have still been about -10 at night and -4 to 0 during the day. I guess we will still see the white countryside for a good deal of the week as more cold weather is forecast...as this is our last full week...we go back to SA on the 15th... we will certainly have more time for brisk walks out in the snow... Enough of the weather.. now on to my card for today.

I made this easel card as a sample for Diane's shop....Hobby Dee ..using her products.

Used a Marianne and cut a card with cream cardstock..... folded into an easel and inked the edes with vintage photo. Cut another large shape with cream onto that mounted a smaller shape cut from Vivi Gade  double sided design paper. Used a Nellie Snellen die for the smaller circle on the bottom and cut the hearts out of the DP. The back of one of the designs had all the hearts. Stamped a sentiment from a freebie that I got in a magazine.
The image is from a 3D sheet by Moorheads...very cute. Finished off with pearls made with liquid pearls.
That's all from me...I will be back soon with another challenge card I made...Till then take care.
