Hello blogging friends,
I have another card to share today that I made for a class last week. I saw this card on Beccy's blog for the first time and thanks to Jill for the link to this video where you can see how to make it. It is actually very easy.

 

 

Card Recipe

 

Paper - Pretty Papers Bloc - Don & Daisy from Marianne Design, inked the edges

Image - Snoesje from Marianne Design, coloured with Distress inkpads and cut out.

Sentiment - Nellie Snellen

Pearls, bow and button to finish.

 

For the opening I used a die from Nellie Snellens MFD dies and it worked very well.

It really comes together so easily.

It's Christmas in July at The Outlawz

Good morning friends,
This is a little too close for comfort having Christmas in July...5 months from now most of us will be running around doing last minute things, but at least we can relax now as we only have to make a Christmas card and that will be one less to do at Christmas.

As you can see this is the twist of  colour challenge at The Outlawz this week
and I was the lucky one to choose the inspirational photo, colour palette and twist. This is the photo and colour palette and you only choose 3 of the colours for your card. Please don't forget to tell us which colours you are choosing.




Our challenge is being sponsored by Bugaboo for the month of July and the DT have made gorgeous cards using images from Bugaboo stamps.

For my card I used the following colours: Warning Red, Cliff top green and Sky blue.

Card recipe:
Paper: red cardstock matted DP 'Christmas Cottage' from Teresa Collins
Image - Poinsettia and you can find it here. I printed 2 images coloured with Twinkling H20's, cut one of the flowers out and mounted that on the other image with silicone for a 3D effect. Added beads in the centre and cut it all out.
The Christmas trees were cut from a Marianne Design diecut, added some glitter and as I had forgotten my third colour of sky blue, I added that with Pontura pearl makers as baubles on the trees..
I mounted the second tree with 3D foam pads.

Colour challenge with a music twist

Hello my blogging friends,
Here we are on the last Tuesday of February and once again it is time for the Colour challenge at The Outlawz.

This week the inspirational photo, colours and twist was the choice of Laurian . You have to choose 3 of the colours from  the palette  and the twist is to make it musical.




This is what I used for my card.
The colours I have decided to use are, John yellow,  Mystery green and George red.

I think my friends in the North will be happy with the approach of March...a little bit closer to spring, but of course for us here down in the south...a reminder that autumn is lurking in the wings. I love that season, but not the one that follows.

Colour challenge at The Outlawz..choose your colours...

Good morning friends,
Today at  The Outlawz we have another special colour challenge where you get to make some choices.

The photo this week was the choice of Ina. The colour we are required to use is Rose red and 2 colours of your choice, just tell us which they are. You also get to decide the twist, so don't forget to mention what it is.


For my card I used the colours Rose red, green and grey.
The twist is to add metal.

Recipe:
Red cardstock.
DP from a paper bloc 'Back in Time' from Joycrafts. It was very light green so added extra colour with Pan Pastel chalks.

Clock diecut is from Marianne Designs. Cut it from silver foil and coloured it with alcohol inks.

The sentiment was found on the internet, printed and cut with an X-cut die.

Added 3 buttons.

I think it can be a good masculine card as well.
