Hello everyone from an autumnal South Africa,
Yes the weather is changing, still some hot days but a definite autumn feel in the air which is so welcoming after the very hot weather we have had,

The new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create  is as always anything goes, with an option this month of Easter.

For my card I have again used paper from my stash.

The diecuts I used are from Lea'bilities both for the card and the tags.

I cut the flower die and then brushed over with distress inks.  Added some liquid pearls.

The sentiment is coumuter generated.

Attached the tag with a bunny.

Will be entering it in some challenges, shortly.

Thanks so much for visiting,,,,,take care and stay healthy,

Colour challenge at The Outlawz

Hello friends and a Happy Tuesday to you all,

This week at The Outlawz the colour challenge is one of our special challenges, where you get to decide what to do.

The inspirational photo was chosen by Ina, and you can use any aspect of it for your card.

Choose the colours and for the twist let us know what has inspired you for your card.

Our sponsor for the last time this month is Sweet Pea Stamps and the DT have made lovely cards once again using these images. We would love you to come and see what we have done for your inspiration and then have a go yourselves.

This is my card using the image Easter Daffodil and I was inspired by the eggs on the photo to make an Easter card.

The patterned paper I used is very old. It was a free download from Mad about Cards (I think they have closed) and it was dated 2007...so I have had it for a long time. I matted it onto yellow cardstock.

The image was coloured with Distress inkpads cut out and mounted onto a scalloped oval that I inked with the colour from the little duck.

Sentiment is from Netty's cards She has lots of freebies, so worth a visit.

A ribbon with a bow and pearls to finish

I will enter these challenges with this card.

Using dies and punches for Easter

Hello everyone,
I am back again, this time with my DT project for Let's Craft and Create.  We were asked to use dies and punches, and I saw this lovely Easter gift idea at Kitty's Craft and  I decided to make some of these for my grandchildren for Easter gifts. This year we are also having our family from The Netherlands here in South Africa, so I thought this would be great for filling with some yummy eggs for the juniors and Easter goodies for the not so juniors.

It was very easy, using  Nellie Snellen MFDies and some punches.
The sentiment is from Netty's cards where you can find several lovely freebie sentiments. Well worth visiting her BLOG.

Another Easter card......

Good morning friends,
Well today autumn has definitely got a foot in the door. It is grey, windy, cool and even started raining a short while ago. Perfect weather for staying indoors, and I think hubby will bake some of his famous rusks, so the smells from the kitchen will be great.

Onto my card now. There is a combined challenge on at PCP with Digistamps4Joy and Shelley's images

You get one image from each and have to use them together on a card. If you make 3 projects with these 2 images you will get another image from each one. This is my first card, not sure if I will manage more, will see how we go.

I have made a card shaping the front for a different effect.
The image on the front is 'Peter' from Shelley's images. Coloured with distress inks and twinkling H2O's.
The image inside is 'Egg basket' from Digistamps4Joy also coloured with distress inks and Twinkling H2O's. I cut it out mounted on foam pads and paper pieced the bow adding some glitter.
The sentiment on the inside is a freebie. My blogging friend Hannelie offers some lovely sentiments from time to time and you can visit her
Here.

Paper is from Tulip by Andrea Jayne
Finished off with ribbon and a bunny brad.

Easter Greetings

This is a card I made for an Easter card swap with my stamping group. 13 ladies took part, so this week I received in the post 12 beautiful Easter cards.
I used a cream cardstock with a shimmer, stamped a flourish from Hero arts in chocolate and attached some pearls.

The cross was cut on the cuttlebig with a nestability and put onto brown cardstock with silicone to raise it.
The sentiment was computer generated.
I hope everyone liked their cards.
As this is the eve of the Easter weekend, I would like to send this wish to my blogging friends all over the world
Wishing you specially at Easter,
that you may continue to be
the special person you are
who spreads joy and love,
sunshine and brightness
and you may hold onto your dreams
because rainbows are always
wished for you.
Wishing you a very Happy and Blessed Easter and if you are travelling , safe travels, especially those in South Africa. Take care on the roads.
Warm wishes.

Cute Card Thursday, Karen's challenge

http://karensdoodlesnetherlandschallenge.blogspot.com/

Good afternoon, hope everyone is enjoying a relaxing Sunday. We are having a beautiful late summer/early autumn day.My card to day is for the Cute Card Thursday challenge, theme was Dimensions. It is a digital image(a freebie) from Karen's Doodles. a new site I found.

The card is a white cardstock, onto which I matted yellow card put through the cuttlebug with the butterfly folder.

The DP is a piece I had over, not sure where it is from.

The image was coloured with Tombows and watercolour pencils. It was cut out with my nestabilities and matted onto a scolloped blue nestability.

The dimensions are the 2 easter eggs, (peel-offs) that I coloured, and a flower that I layered with punchouts.

The sentiment is also a peel-off.

I loved this image and will go and have a look at what else is on her site http://www.karensdoodles.blogspot.com/ I know she has another freebie.

Love to hear from you and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
