Let's Craft and Create April challenge

 Hello makers, 

We are well into the month of April and I am late with my blog for the new challenge at Let's Craft and Create. Technology is fantastic but when things go wrong then we have a problem,  suffice to say my internet is functioning well again so here I am.

The theme as usual is Anything goes, but you have the option of using pink and gray on your projects. If you go over to the challenge post you will see some fantastic ideas from the Design team for inspiration. I do hope you join us, as there is even a small prize up for grabs.

 I have used paper from my stash and it is pink and grey in real life, not blue as on this photo.

The stamp is a Papermania from DoCrafts....a very old one.

I added some pearl dots but they don't seem to show too well.

The sentiment is a die cut.

I will enter it in some challenges.

Stars and stripes at Let's Craft and Create

Hello everyone,
I do hope wherever you are in the world you are doing well, keeping safe and healthy.
Here where I live it is winter and been rather cold, usually our winter days are fairly warm and the nights cold, but for about 2 weeks it was just COLD, but we know that the warmer weather will be here in a few months.

This month our challenge is, as always anything goes but with the option of stars and stripes.




For my card I have gone with a blue plaid paper on a red cardstock.

The embossed stars were made using an old Cuttlebug embossing folder.

The stars were cut with a set of nesting dies

A sentiment using peeloffs.

It's all about friends

Good morning  friends,

This month is only a few days old and we have a new challenge for you. As always the theme at Let's Craft and Create is anything goes, but we also have an optional theme and this month it is Best friends.  Best friends has a large scope, so I hope you will pop into the blog and see the projects made for your inspiration by the Team. You also have a whole month to enter...so come and join in the fun.



For my card I used friend flower doodle from Bugaboo images coloured it with my Inktense pencils.

I cut it with a Nellie Snellen MFD matted it onto a green diect.

The patterned paper is an odd piece from my stash.

The sentiment was cut with a die from Impression Obsession.

Added pearls and some bling to the image and card.

Girls, girls, girls at Let's Craft & Create

Hello from a long absent blogger,

I am back after a lovely holiday in New Zealand, but after our return home both my hubby and I got some sort of virus (not the same one) had very different symptoms, but I am pleased to say I am back to full health. Hubby still is not quite there.

This month over at Let's Craft and Create the new challenge is "Girls,girls,girls"
Please pop in and see the lovely designs from the DT. They are just awesome.

It took me a while to get myself into the crafting mode, having been away for 3 months...so this is what I decided to do.

All the printed papers are the last pieces from a "My mind's eye"paper bloc.
I distressed two of the pieces and stamped a design from a Marianne Design set onto one of the pieces.
The pink diecut is actually a piece of fabric with an adhesive packing.

Added lace and some thin corded ribbon with a beaded pin and a pearl.

Added a tag with a sentiment.

It's almost Easter.

Good morning and a happy Sunday to everyone.

Well it is time to start thinking of getting some Easter cards out and at Let's Craft and Create the theme this month is Easter.



Some of the DT have made some really cute Easter cards for inspiration, but I have gone with a more traditional card.

I embossed the background and used my new Nellie Snellen die to cut the circle and the cross.

The sentiment is one I got from a blogging friend Hannelie , and she has lovely ones on her blog.

Let's Craft and Create challenge # 98

Good evening friends.
We have just had a lovely shower of rain. Here in my part of South Africa we only have summer rains and the last rain we had was in April this year. It has been a dry start to the summer, with a small shower last week and a sprinkling a few days later. This evening wasn't anything WOW, but it settled the dust, and that we have plenty of. We have just moved into a Retirement complex, where there is a lot of building and...you guessed it ...DUST, so the shower of rain was lovely and cooled things down just a little.

Anyway..down to business. This week we have a new challenge at  Let's Craft and Create with the theme Animal Antics. The DT have some lovely cards for inspiration.

Here is my card

 

I decided on a zig-zag card for a change. I find one gets into a rut, making  one type of card, so it was great to do something a little different.

 

Paper - I used black cardstock and made my own patterned paper by stamping with an Impression Obsession 'Cover a card' stamp..tiny flowers. Also used kraft cardstock for the diecut behind the cats, the heart and the label.

The cats are from Marianne Design, and I cut them in black and white and layered onto the kraft card.

The sentiment comes with the die, stamped it onto a Nellie Snellen label.

Finished off with a ribbon bow and some pearls.

Anything goes at Let's Craft and Create

Good morning friends.
I am afraid this post is late. I forgot to schedule it for last night....but it is only a few hours late.

Today over at Let's Craft and Create challenge #96 is Anything goes, so that is a real easy one, but the DT have all made some lovely cards for inspiration/ Do go and have a browse.

I decided to try a different card this time for a young lady's birthday. It is a Tilt card and I found it HERE

This is what I used:
Paper - Pieces from my stash..the last of a pad from ages agoThe young lady loves pink and purple...so that was easy
Image - Pig cupcakes from Bugaboo.. coloured with Distress inks cut out and mounted onto a scalloped oval. Added some glitter
Sentiment is a Memory box die
Added pearls from my stash

A shaped card

Happy Wednesday friends,
I am back again with another DT card for you. This time we have been asked to make a shaped card for  challenge #94 at Let's Craft and Create

The DT have made some super shaped cards and we would love you to join us. Any shape, not square or rectangle will be lovely to see.

This is what I made:

 

RECIPE

Cut the card with an X-cut die, inked the edges with Vintage Photo.

Cut a smaller die in burgundy and inked with Walnut Stain.

The music notes cut and embossed with a Joycraft die, inked in black while still in the die and then with vintage photo.

Stamped sentiment onto the base of the music

Added a little tag 'just a note'. This is a freebie from a blogging friend Hannelie and you can get it and others HERE

Using dies and punches for Easter

Hello everyone,
I am back again, this time with my DT project for Let's Craft and Create.  We were asked to use dies and punches, and I saw this lovely Easter gift idea at Kitty's Craft and  I decided to make some of these for my grandchildren for Easter gifts. This year we are also having our family from The Netherlands here in South Africa, so I thought this would be great for filling with some yummy eggs for the juniors and Easter goodies for the not so juniors.

It was very easy, using  Nellie Snellen MFDies and some punches.
The sentiment is from Netty's cards where you can find several lovely freebie sentiments. Well worth visiting her BLOG.

The DT at Let's Craft and Create have made lovely cards for your inspiration and as the challenges are now monthly, there is no excuse not to participate. Would love to see some of your projects there.
