Let's use stripes and dots

 Hello everyone,

We are now well into the second half of the year, and I for one am looking forward to some warm weather. I know spring is not too far away here in the Southern Hemisphere but this is the coldest winter we have had for a while and I have now had enough.

Well, as it is a new month, we have a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create As always it is anything goes with an option of using dots and or stripes.  The DT have made some gorgeous projects for inspiration, so head over and feast your eyes.

There is a small prize for the lucky winner and you have a whole month to enter, but don't delay too long.

I have used everything from my scraps box and my stash

I rounded all the corners of the papers and cut  out the teddy image.

The embossing folder is a Cuttlebug folder purchased many years ago and I added a  little charm.

I will enter the following challenges:

My Time to Craft  #513 ...Shades of Blue

The Crafty Addicts  #04 ... Anything goes

A perfect time to craft  #08 ...Anything goes

Crafts Galore Encore  #114 ... Anything goes

Pearly Sparkles #87  ...Spots/stripes

Thank you for stopping by, I do appreciate it. Take care and see you again soon.

Love, Ursula

Something new

 Hello friends,

Yes there is something new...2022.  HAPPY NEW YEAR  I hope that everyone is ready for this year so that we can make it a great ONE with positive attitudes and creating lovely things. At Let's Craft and Create this month our challenge has an option of "Something new"...a home, a year, a baby ... anything new.

The team have all created stunning projects with this theme, so please head on over and see what inspiration they have created. You have a whole month to enter and there is even a small prize so start off the year with joining in our challenge.

This year, I am continuing my mission of using up my stash. I like to think I made a small dent in it last year, but there is still a whole lot more to use.

The cardstock is all from my stash and I cut and embossed a piece. The embossing folder is an old Cuttlebug folder. I inked the edges and lightly went over the embossing with a Distress Inkpad.

The embelishments are the last of a selection of baby items.

I am trying to make cards that would be good for the Charity shop that I support. I like for them to have a selection of popular cards for selling.

I will enter this in the following challenges.

A place to start January ...Anything goes

Crafting happiness  #119 ...Anything goes

Simon Says challenge Monday challenge ...something new

613 Avenue creates January ...Anything goes

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #173 ...Anything goes

A bit more time to Craft  Dec/Jan ...Anything goes

A perfect time to Craft  #01 ...Anything goes

Crafts Galore   January ...Anything goes

I hope wherever you are in the world you are keeping safe. The weather in many places has been very harsh and severe and I my heart goes out to the people who have to live in such extreme conditions. I hope that you receive the strength to get through this. The health issues that many have to face be it from the pandemic or anything else makes life a challenge for many and I pray that you also receive strength to face these.

Take care, stay safe and let's hope that this year will see some easing on the challenges that have faced us the past 2 years.

Thanks for visiting and see you soon.

Love, Ursula

A sketch at Digistamps4Joy challenge #111

Good morning friends,
A happy Wednesday to everyone. I am away with hubby for a few days break in the lovely Mpumulanga area of our country, so hopefully Mr. Blogger  has posted this for me.

At Digistamps4Joy the current challenge #111 has a sketch to follow. My teamie Tonnie is hosting and has designed the sketch for us to use.

The DT have made some awesome cards using this sketch, so why not hop over and see what they have to show.

We would love you to come and play in this challenge and you don't have to use a DS4J image, but if you do...their is a chance in the main prize. You still have till 30 April to enter, so what are you waiting for....

I decided I needed a baby card to add to my stash, and had mainly blue papers, so this is how it ended up.

The paper with text is from my stash of off-cuts so not sure who it is by. I can say it is about 5 years old. The gingham is from Marianne design , Sweet baby, paper block

The image can be found HERE It was coloured with my usual Distress inkpads.

Finished it all of with a bow and a small safety pin.

I will look at some challenges to enter when I get back....entering the following challenges:
