Hello friends, Hope you are having a great week. The weather is just glorious and I would just love to be outside more at the moment, but I have had a lot of preparation to do for classes, so hope the weekend will be equally glorious.
Today I did a class for 10 ladies at
Country Crafts in Johannesburg and it was all so exciting as we had a very special guest. Non other than Marianne from Marianne's Designs in the Netherlands. I think many of you are using her dies already. She is such a lovely lady and it was an honour to have her sitting in on the class.
This is the card that we made, with a small variation in the class. I saw the picture on
Jennie's blog and really liked it, so asked if she would mind me using it. I think the original came from one of the Stampartic design team, but couldn't find it there.
This is what I used for the card and the box:
Paper: Kaisercraft...English Rose collection
I used a selection of dies from Marianne Designs, Nellie Snellen and Joy crafts to cut the hearts, flourishes and flowers using scraps of shimmer paper and various bits and pieces.
Finished off with some seam binding on the front and a few pearls.
When once I had worked out the idea it was actually easy to put together.
I also made a box for it to go into. This is just a basic "pizza" style box, that is also so easy to put together.
Altogether the ladies loved it.
I am entering this in some challenges as well:
Hope you all have a good week, have fun and enjoy what you are doing. Will be back soon.
