Swing doors and other new images at DS4J

Hello bloggers,
I am back again with a new image to show you, and there are more where this one came from. Sunday is always new release day at Digistamps4Joy, so why not head over and see for yourself what lovely cards have been made by the DT using some of the new images. These can be found  HERE at the store and remember there is always a bonus reward for you when purchasing....you get $1 reward for $10 purchased, which goes toward your next purchase.

The swing doors made me think of a small pub/diner, so this is what I came up with.

 I cut out the image Swing doors, put it onto a piece from the JoyCrafts  paper block "Bricks" and the image "watch this space"  behind the doors, and put this onto a piece of paper from Glitz paper pack "French kiss". Both images are coloured with distress inks.












I will see if there is a challenge or two to fit this card.

Two hearts filling die

Good morning friends,
Can you believe the first 6 months of the year are gone....Having a busy weekend, but just want to show a card made with the lovely filling die from Nellie Snellen. I love these dies, so you will see more of them. This  easel is one of the cards made for yesterday's class at Country Crafts. Will show the second one later.

Here is what I used:
Paper....core'dinations...lovely embossed cardstock, just have to sand to get the colours showing.
Hearts..Nellie Snellen filling die cut with foam and stamped on.
Flowers a selection of flowers using Olba punch and Nellie floral punch.
I also used the filling strips die to make a quilled flower for the centre.
Butterfly ...Joy , vintage flourishes
Label - Joy labels and tags.
Sentiment from Country crafts.
Pearls and pontura paint for the flower centres.

A quickie just for you

Happy Friday friends,
Looking forward to the weekend?. I have a card class tomorrow and then hopefully getting on with some DT work...what are your plans....

This is a card I made for a friend. I needed one in a bit of a hurry, so no image to colour. Marianne Designs to the rescue.

Paper ...Romantic Vintage by Marianne Design., punched the corners.
Dies are also MD dies. LR0265,LR0116
The flowers were made with LR0145, added stamens.
Finished off with  pearls and a Sentiment.
It really came together so quickly.

The Outlawz colour challenge with a musical twist

Good morning friends.
Today is another colour challenge at The Outlawz. The colour palette was chosen by Guylou with the twist ..something to do with music.

I was thinking of the definition of the word CHALLENGE. This is what I found..."

 A test of one's abilities or resources in a demanding but stimulating undertaking"  

This was in fact a real challenge.......When I first saw the chosen colours and the twist, I knew just what I was going to do....Yea right!!! not so simple. I couldn't find the paper I had in mind, substituted that ..then the image didn't work so well... the embellishments didn't look right...so just scrapped the whole idea and started again.

If you  have a look at the cards made by the DT, you will certainly get a lot of inspiration from their lovely creations.

This is what I came up with.

Paper ...red cardstock stamped with some music notes and punched corners
             white card embossed with a music folder, sponged with distress ink.
Sentiment...Hero arts
Music ribbon and a music charm....have had both these items for ages, so at least they could have some show time.

New releases... dragonflies and more.....

Good morning friends and a happy Sunday.
Welcome to my new followers, so pleased you have found some inspiration here and hope you will visit often.
I would also like to send good wishes to my friends in Canada, in the flood ravaged areas. I am thinking of you all and hope that you get relief soon.

For the men in our lives...challenge #69 at DS4J

Happy Wednesday morning,
It is a short week as we had a holiday on Monday, so Wednesday seemed to come round very quickly. A reminder for the challenge at Digistamps4Joy...For the men in our lives.

This is my card.

Patterned paper is from a Denim paper bloc that I have had for at least a year and then found a matching check in my stash.
Image is called 'fishing tackle' and can be found HERE. Coloured with Distress ink pads.
The die cut is from Joy designs and the little fish are from Memory box.
Finished off with twine and buttons.

It's a girl at the Outlawz colour challenge

Good morning friends,
Today we have another colour challenge at The Outlawz. Teammate Penny chose the gorgeous colours and the twist....Make it for a baby. 

There are lovely cards made by the DT. and the prize is sponsored by

I used the sketch from Deconstructed Sketch #105 











My card was made for a girl.
My patterned papers are pieces from my stash that I have had for a long time. The centre panel I embossed and coloured with Pan Pastels.


The image 'Bootie beauties" and tag are from DS4J coloured with Distress inkpads, added some liquid pearl dots and a touch of glitter to the ribbon...a girl has to have glitter, even as a baby!
