Up in a hot air balloon

Good morning friends,
The Cutting CafeNo I am not going anywhere and not in a hot air balloon, but the new challenge at Let's Craft and Create this month has  us making some hot air balloons.

The challenge is to use ribbon or twine and the sponsor this month is The Cutting Cafe. The DT have been given a hot air balloon file to work with and you can find it HERE. It is quite easy even without any cutting machines and there are a number of options with sentiments and it all comes in the file that you download.

If you have a look at the challenge site, the DT have made really lovely projects using this cutting file. Lots of inspiration.

I decided to keep it quite plain as I want to give it to a young man who will be starting a new chapter in his life soon.

I cut the card from dark blue cardstock and then cut the sections out of a sheet of Marianne design paper.

The basket was a piece of netting from mosaic tiles, and then I added twine.

The sentiment is from the file and I printed it, cut it out, added a button and attached it with some twine.

I will enter the following challenges.

July progressive challenge at The Outlawz

Happy Wednesday to you all.

A new month, so a new image for the Progressive challenge at The Outlawz. This month Jen has sponsored the image, and we invite you to see what the DT have created with it.
If you haven't yet signed up to play, then just pop over and send us an email so that your image can be forwarded to you. You then have a month to enter, so that you can receive the new image....Great fun and a good way to receive some new images.
.

I have once again raided my stash of paper and rather liked the coloured dots and circles.

The image is coloured with Distress inkpads and matted onto a striped paper. Can't see too much of that though.

I used peel offs for the sentiment onto a short banner and some buttons for extra dimension.

Will enter some challenges:

New images today at DS4J

A happy Sunday to all my fellow bloggers.
I hope your weekend is going well We have had some lovely soft soaking rain yesterday and possibly some more today. As we are drawing near to the end of our rainy season we welcome whatever comes our way. It was also a lot cooler yesterday, we enjoyed it, but not yet ready for real autumn weather, so hope the sun is out with some warmth today.

It is another Sunday, the 1st one in March and there are several new releases at Digistamps4Joy. The one I have chosen to use is great for those masculine cards we all need to make from time to time. Dad's Austin and you can find it HERE

I coloured the image with Distress inkpads, cut it out and mounted onto  embossed cardstock and this was attached with brads. The DP is from a pad of Marianne Design
The sentiment is computer generated and cut with a MD ticket die....I only saw when posting it that it wasn't cut very straight.
3 pearls to finish off.

The DT have made some really super cards with a few of the new images and you can see them HERE. Great inspiration.

Just remember that DS4J have a reward points system. For every $10 spent, you earn $1 in rewards towards your next purchase..so buying is fun.
