"Birdday" card

Happy Sunday, friends. We have had 4 beautiful sunny days and only a few clouds. Yesterday a sprinkling of rain, but hardly worth mentioning. Today's card is another birthday one. This for a friend who loves birds. On one of my PCP groups, Anything but cute... we had to make a card, using a bird punch or template given us.

I used a brown card, with a mottled green paper. Onto this I stamped the grass using a Hero Arts stamp. I cut a bird from a piece of yellow/green DP using my Nesties bird set. I cut a smaller bird out of a plain green and trimmed it slightly for the wing, which I put through the cuttlebug.

Finished it off with a green polka dot ribbon and a sentiment stamped on cream card with brown ink. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.

It was fun to do this one.

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead, I am trying to shake of a terrible cold that I picked up and is most unwelcome, but seems quite happy to stick around.

Warm wishes

New home

Hi blogging friends, Well after my complaint of no rain for so long, guess what. YES!! We had rain. Not much, just enough to settle the dust (all over the cars), but it sounded good, even had thunder, and it smelt wonderful. Hope we get some more now.
Another card today - another "no fuss one" My son and family in NZ have just moved into a beautiful big house, so this card is off to New Zealand. (hope to visit next year).

Paper: white Cardstock, matted a DP from Paper Salon. - stiched scribbles.
Stamped images from Hero Arts cut out with Nestabilities and coloured with watercolour pencils. The image also from Here Arts was stamped on the inside. Forgot to photograph that.
Well friends it is weekend, and hopefully I am going to play with some of my new toys that I brought back with me from NL. Maybe even get to do a challenge or two. I know the garden is calling for attention, so will try and do a bit of both. Have a wonderful weekend wherever and whatever you are doing.
Warm wishes

Creative Cottage challenge

The challenge is "pretty pink" so this is the card I have made.

Used white cardstock, matted a soft pink card that I put through the cuttlebug with a folder from Crealies. http://www.crealies.nl/ Then cut a frame with the cuttlebug using a new die that I have.
The image is a Hero Arts stamped onto white watercolour paper and coloured with Twinkling H2o's and water colour pencils.
A piece of ribbon knotted completed the picture.

On the inside I used the outer part where the frame was cut from and stamped a sentiment froma local stamping company.
