New colour challenge today

Good morning friends,

Welcome to the last colour challenge at the Outlawz for this month.....I can't believe that the first half of the year is almost over.

This week Ina has given us a beautiful photo for our inspiration. There are 5 colours to choose from and the twist is quite easy for most of use....add layers.

For the last time this month we have Bugaboo Digi Stamps as our sponsor






The DT have made awesome cards with the images and we would love you to visit and show us your creations.

I have used the image Butterfly Live Love Laugh




I used 3 colours...Green, lilac and yellow.

Coloured the butterflies with distress inkpads and cut each one out and layered it on a yellow diecut.

The sentiment is from a local company that was one of my first sentiment stamps that I purchased many years back.

Finished it all off with yellow buttons.

New release day at DS4J

Good morning friends and I hope you are having a great Sunday,

Today there are a number of new images being released at Digistamps4Joyand to see the cards made by the DT you can have a look here
The image I have used is Tattoo Cutie 2 and it is also available as a pre-coloured image



I used paper from a Marianne Design bloc...flower garden.

The image was coloured with Distress inkpads and cut out with an oval. Placed into a frame diecut with shading the embossed parts.

Stamped the sentiment and added pearls

Good morning friends,

Time for another Colour challenge at The Outlawz today.




Jacqui has chosen the flag of  British Columbia as the inspiration for this week's challenge.
So what inspires you?

I used the image GT New truck which you can find HERE












For my card I used the colours of the flag and was inspired by the sun,

I used a Memory box stencil to try and create sunbeams. Coloured them with my Pan Pastel chalks for a change.

I also used the Pan Pastels to colour the yellow cardstock.

The image was coloured with Distress inks ..

The sentiments were computer generated, with buttons to finish.

A round card this week

Good morning to you all,
For the colour challenge at The Outlawz this week Jeanie has chosen a lovely photo for us to work from, and the DT have come up with such amazing creations.

We still have our sponsor  Bugaboo for this month.
For my card I was inspired by the bowl and decided to make a round card, using the image Tulip and bugs








I used a die from Nellie Snellen for my card.

My paper is actually a bit more green than the photo shows.

The image is coloured with Distress inkpads and glossy accents on the ladybugs.

Sentiment stamped and cut out, with some pearls to finish off

Challenge #124 at DS4J...reminder

Happy Sunday to you all.

Can you believe we are in the middle of May....so I need to remind you of the challenge at Digistamps4Joy  As always it is Anything goes, but we do have a twist  which is optional...Add ribbon.

The prize is a $10 voucher, but please remember you have to use an image on your project, either stamped or digital. The DT have some amazing projects for inspiration, so we would love you to go and have a look.



I have decided to make a tag this time using the image Birthday frame

I used a tag cut from cardstock and matted the image onto it.

The image was coloured with Distress inkpads,

Added glitter to the banner and gift bag and glossy accents to the balloons, also some peeloff hearts to the second banner.

Finished off with twine and beads, a lace edging  and a big bow for my ribbon twist.

New colour challenge at The Outlawz

Good morning friends,
We have been having a taste of winter here in my part of South Africa. Since Sunday we have had cloudy and cool days with some rather chilly winds blowing from the mountains where there has been some snowfalls. I think it will start warming up again from tomorrow, but it has been quite nice to stay indoors for most part and get on with some crochet projects I am busy with.



Now on to our colour challenge for this week.
Laurian, chose the inspirational photo and the twist...and they are lovely colours to work with.










We  have Bugaboo as our sponsor for this month, so there are gorgeous projects made by the DT using their images. I have used sketchy floral teapot which you can find HERE




As the twist for this week is 'get inky' I used my favourites...Distress inks with some water and water colour paper and had fun. I matted this piece of 'artwork' onto purple cardstock.

The image was also coloured with Distress inkpads. I added some glossy accents to the little ladybugs. Cut the image out with an oval die and mounted on my card.

The sentiment was stamped onto the card with a vintage sepia stamp pad.

A button and pearls to finish it all off.

Paper is from a pad of mixed papers for men.

Image...Anglin Andy  coloured with Distress inkpads.

Sentiment is computer generated.

Used, buttons, twine and 3 diecut fish to finish.

Pretty in Pink

Good morning to you all,
Today I have a card for the new challenge at Let's Craft and Create. The theme for this month is ..Breast cancer awareness. ..Pretty in Pink.

The DT have made some stunning creations for this challenge, so please pop in and leave them some love.  You have a whole month to enter.

This is what I used for my card.




Paper is from a vintage paper bloc matted onto dark pink cardstock..

Image was a freebie last month from Cre8tive Hands Fans for their FB progressive challenge, which I unfortunately didn't get done in time.

The sentiment was cut with an Impression Obsession die.

Finished off with pearls, some gems and a ribbon.

Colour challenge at The Outlawz

Good morning friends,
Tuesday again, although it crept in quietly. We had a holiday yesterday and it was like Sunday all day, so not sure where Monday went.



Today it is my turn to host the colour challengeat The Outlawz  and this was the picture that I had chosen for inspiration.  I have always loved working with fabrics and this just grabbed me.
I have given one colour to use and you may choose any other 2 colours from the photo.  The twist is also your choice.








We also have a new sponsor this month. Bugaboo Stamps and the DT have had such fun with the new images.

This is my card  for the challenge.

I used the blue, cream and coral and my twist is...use fabric. My patterned paper is fabric on a paper backing.

I used blue cardstock and matted a piece of  DCWV Fabric backed paper

Image is  Tulip Hedgie and I coloured it with Distress inkpads and cut it out with an X-cut die.

Sentiment is a die from Impression Obsession, which I cut out twice and layered.

3 coral flower buttons added, just nipped the backs off.

New images today at Digistamps4Joy

Good morning and happy 1st May.

Well as we start this new month and being a Sunday there are some new images released to day at Digistamps4Joy One of the images Vintage Dress 1 is what I have used on my card. To see the cards made by the DT just go over to the challenge blog and feast your eyes on their creativity.




I used paper from a Pretty Paper bloc...Flower garden, by Marianne Design.

The image was coloured with my usual Distress inkpads and cut with an oval die.

Finished it off with a seam binding bow, gauze dyed with a tea bag, 2 metal corners and beads.
