Good morning blogging friends,
I am rather late with this post, but I have been away on a small holiday, doing a cruise up the South African coast. I decided not to schedule this as I would be back to post it myself, which I was....but returned on Saturday evening to NO internet and it has just come back now. (Monday mid morning)...so my apologies.  I did have a lovely holiday.

The challenge at Creative Craft Cottage this fortnight is...Tag, you're it.  We again have 2 sponsors this time and the image I have used is from Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps called Spring Cart and you can find it HERE

The DT have made such lovely cards for inspiration, so please do go and have a look, then come and join in the fun. Great digi prizes to win as well.

I have made a Z fold card this time.

The paper is from my stash.

I coloured the image with Distress inkpads, added little pearl maker centres, and cut it out with a MF Die.

I added a corner diecut on the inside to hold my tag, which I diecut from a KaiserCraft page of sentiments. Punched the corners and added a ribbon.
Also added a small corner diecut with pearls to finish.

DS4J Anything goes with a tag

Hello friends,
I am away for a few days, so I do hope this post will go ahead as scheduled.

There is a new challenge at Digistamps4Joy #121.  I have the honour of hosting this challenge and as usual it is Anything goes and the twist I have chosen  (which is optional) is to to add a tag. You have a month to enter your projects and please have a look at the cards made by the DT. They are made to inspire you.

For my card I have made a screen card, and used the image ''vase of hearts' which you can find HERE

The papers are from Michelle R Designs called Love and Romance.

The image I coloured with Distress inkpads, added glossy accents to the vase and some glitter to the ribbon

The sentiment is printed on the paper

Cut 4 hearts as tags and attached them with a bow.

Progressive challenge at The Outlawz

Hello friends,

As I am away on holiday just for 8 days, I have scheduled this post and hope all goes well and you get to see it at the right time.

The new progressive challenge at The Outlawz starts today. If you have played before you will know how it works and you should receive your images sometime today. If you have never played you will need to go to the challenge page  send your name to the email address given and you will receive the image. Make your card post it in the correct place and next month you will receive the new image.

One of our DT members, Teresa has kindly drawn this image for us. Teresa regularly gives away some freebies so you need to check out her blog.

I decided not to make a Valentine card, but just one with lots of Love.

The papers I used were a free gift with a magazine  a loooong time ago.

I coloured the image with Distress inkpads and paper pieced the skirt. I also added some frosted lace to the points of the skirt, not sure they show up too well.

The sentiment was one I had in my file of sentiments.

Finished it with lace and some pearls

Colour challenge with stripes

Happy Tuesday friends,
Here I am with the last colour challenge at The Outlawz for this month. It was my turn to choose the inspirational photo and as we have a lovely climber filled with gorgeous passion fruit, I decided to use this flower for  inspiration this week

This is also the last week of our sponsorship from Stitchy Bear and I have used the image lady bug, which you can find HERE. 



The DT have also used some of these images and made lovely creations for inspiration, so please come and have a look. We would love you to join us, and you might be the lucky winner of some digi images.





For my card I have followed the card sketch at Stick it Down










This is what I used:

Purple cardstock that I embossed.

Patterned paper with stripes from a Joycrafts paper bloc..Pretty Floral

Image is coloured with Distress Inkpads and cut out with a MFD, mounted onto a scolloped diecut.

Sentiment is a peel off.

Finished with ribbon, bow and pearls.

Early Christmas card

Good afternoon bloggers,

 I have finally managed to finish my first Christmas card for 2016. Last year I took part in a Christmas card challenge submitting a card almost every month. I hope to do every month this year, but it might be a challenge as we are planning some travelling...but will see how we go.

For the 12 Months of Christmas linkup there is a sketch as an optional theme, so I decided to go with that.


























This is what I used:

Paper all from my stash. I tried to use up some of my old Christmas papers and didn't buy any new but still have some to go.

Image. I won a lovely set of Christmas digis and some are precoloured as well from
Beccy's Place in a challenge last year, but didn't get round to using them, so this is the first time with these. A quickie when you don't have to colour. It is available HERE

I used 3 letters cutout with a very old set of CB dies
and a peeloff sentiment. I also added berries with a pearlmaker.

Creative Craft Cottage challenge #56

Hello friends,
Can you believe that we already well into the second half of January and thus we have a new challenge at Creative Craft Cottage. The theme this time is a real favourite of everyone...Anything goes.

We again have 2 sponsors and I am using an image from Ppinky Dolls called Little Gypsey and you can find it  HERE

The DT have really made amazing cards for inspiration so I urge you to go and see the gorgeous creations.

I have followed the sketch at Cheerful Sketches





This is my card and what I have used,

Paper from a no name paper pad.

Image coloured with Distress inkpads and cut out with a MFD and layered onto another diecut.

The Doily is a Marianne Design die cut with  a glimmer paper and coloured with Distress inkpad.

The fancy strip was cut with a Nellie Snellen die and ribbon threaded through it. A bow was added.

The Sentiment is a freebie and I have lost the link, but will look for it.

Finished off with pearls and gems

Tuesday is Colour challenge at The Outlawz

Good morning everyone and a happy Tuesday,

Over at The Outlawz another colour challenge starts today and the inspirational photo was chosen by my teamie AJ.

Now there is so much to take from this photo for inspiration, that I hope you will come and join in. If you go and look at the DT projects they are so varied. Lots of ideas there.

For my side step card I was inspired by the books and journals on the photo.




Paper from a vintage  no name paper pad

Image coloured with Distress inkpads and cut out with an Xcut die.

The book die is from Marianne Designs. I cut it 3 times, distressed it and stamped some script on the top layer. The words are also a Marianne Design stamp.

Sentiment was heat embossed and finished off with pearls.

A little hand made bow covers a small 'oops'

I will look for some challenges to enter.
