Choose your own colours this week at the Outlawz

Good morning friends,
It certainly seems like spring has arrived here. The days are lovely and warm, the grass is turning green and lots of new shoots on the trees...a great time.

The colour challenge at The Outlawz this week is once again a special one, where you get to make lots of choices. We give you one colour and you select 2 more from the inspirational photo and also your own TWIST

Penny chose the lovely inspirational photo, so now it is over to you.
The DT have made lovely cards for this challenge, so if you need inspiration go and have a look .

This is my card, and the colours I chose are  Tiger's glow,  yellow and black...The twist - no designer paper

 Paper - I decided on no patterned paper, used yellow and black cardstock, so that the image stood out.
Image - I chose to use a precoloured digi. (the first time, and it felt a little like cheating - as I do love to colour) It was from a sheet of precoloured - 'Marigolds and Morpho'. You can find it HERE I used the yellow Marigold trio. Printed 2 pictures and cut out one of the flowers to layer it.
Added pearls for the centres.
The sentiment is from the flower set and there are a selection of sentiments to use.

This was really quick to do, and as I have limited time at the moment ...a pleasure to use.

DS4J challenge #100...Celebrate

Good morning friends on a beautiful sun shiny day
Digistamps4Joy are celebrating their 100th challenge with a blog hop. You can get all the details HERE

This is the card I made for the hop.







It is a multi fold card using some papers from my stash. They are from Wilson and Maclagen. Inked all the edges with walnut stain.

The image is 'My special Cupcake', coloured with Distress inkpads and cut out with a Nellie Snellen oval die MFD047. Added a gem to the flower and a pearl drop to the cupcake

For the front 'gates' I used a Marianne Design Creatables die LR0269

The banner is also a MD Craftable die CR1281. I added glitter to the letters.

The sentiment is computer generated.

The message on the inside is a stamp from Country Crafts a local company.  Added ribbon for closing.

Another Tuesday, another colour challenge at The Outlaws

Good evening friends,
Again a bit late as this post should have gone up this morning, but today was my Hubby's birthday, so a full day of having coffee with friends then I took him to lunch, and more visitors. A great day.

Well here we are  with the Colour challenge at The Outlawz. This week the inspirational photo, palette and twist was chosen by Laurian.

Here is my card:

 

I used paper from an old paper bloc of JoyCrafts and matted onto blue cardstock.

Image is  from Fred She Said, a digi set..'Growing together' coloured with Distress inkpads and added a pearl drop in the centre

Sentiment stamped onto a flower punch out with a bow added.

Butterflies are punched with a Nellie Snellen punch, glitter and Pontura pearl drops added.

Pearls to finish.

Happy Sunday friends,
I do hope you are all having a great weekend. At least it has warmed up here after the very cold snap that we had this week, and as tomorrow is unofficially the start of spring here in South Africa, it promises to be a lovely day.

I am  late with my card for the Christmas challenge at Digistamps4Joy, just getting in at the ninth hour!
This is a progressive challenge, and if you haven't yet joined, it isn't too late. Just contact Desire and you will receive an image, make your card, post it on the challenge blog, and the following month you will receive the next image. It sure helps to get an early start to your Christmas cards.

This month the image was Santa's helper, and if you didn't join the challenge you can get it at the SHOP

Here is my card and what I used:
Paper: Red cardstock, DP from Scrapsheets - Dear Santa - presents
Stars - gold and white paper block, no name, gold mirror board.- both are Marianne Design dies

Image - Santa's helper coloured with Inktense pencils and distress inkpads. Added texture paste for the fur trim, and a touch of glitter. Ccut out with a Nellie Snellen mfd.

DS4J midway challenge #99...circles

Happy Wednesday everyone.
It is a beautiful springlike day here. Lovely blue skies and sunshine but still a little fresh outside. I think by tomorrow the story will change somewhat as there are 2 huge cold fronts hitting the southern part of the country with snowfalls and very cold weather forecast...oh well we will brace ourselves for the freezing wind and low temps that we get here in the north...but we know it won't last tooo long and spring is just peeking round the corner.

This week a reminder of the current challenge at Digistamps4Joy. My teamie Asmah chose the theme of circles. Anything from a circular card to diecuts, embossing..as long as there is a circle on your card. Now that can't be too difficult, but the DT have made gorgeous cards for inspiration...so no excuse..come and join in the fun. You don't have to use a DS4J image, but of course if you do, you stand a chance to win the main prize. So I hope to see you there.

This is my stepper rocker card and what I used.
