Birthday butterflies.

Happy Saturday to everyone. I hope wherever you are you are having a wonderful day. I have just come home from watching my grandaughter taking part in a horse show. She did very well jumping 80 and 90 cm, unfortunately she wasn't placed as she had a penalty in one, and her time wasn't fast enough in the other. But she jumped well and in her equitation got a 1st. So well done to Kellie.
I need more birthday cards, so here is another quick one I entered in the Outlawz birthday challenge.
Paper: just cardstock in 2 colours, no DP paper today.
Image: Crafty individuals, inked up the stamp with my colourbox inks..pinks, purple, lilac - applied randomly ... to match the cardstock and stamped onto some shimmer card.
Butterfly punched from some freebie paper.
Sentiment: Just right stamps, and attached with a ribbon. Added some bling.

Added ribbon and butterflies to the inside and also embossed a piece of glimmer paper with a butterfly folder and cut out an oval for space to write a message.

This really was such a quickie card, but I liked the outcome. Hope your weekend is a great one. Warm wishes.

Music

Hello everyone from a very hot and dry South Africa. We haven't seen any rain here where we live for the last five months and it is very hot at the moment. It should be spring, but I think we skipped that season, and we are now into summer with temps of 28 to 30 deg. Anyway I got to make another card yesterday.
I belong to a group on PCP, "Anything but cute" and the theme this week was MUSIC, so this is what I came up with.
Paper: Cream cardstock, matted a brown onto that. The DP is one that I bought a number of years back in The Netherlands, It is an Italian decoupage paper that has such a lovely feel to it, and I just fell in love with it.
Image: A Crafty Individuals stamp and I used only a part of it, stamped with distress ink - brushed corduroy.
Sentiment: Is a computer generated and aged the paper with a teabag.
Hope you all have a good week, we are over half way.

Colour create challenge

The challenge over at Colour Create was to use chocolate, mint and cream. Lovely yummy flavours. Here is my card.

Paper. Brown cardstock to which I matted white card.

Stamped image onto white card, matted onto brown.

Images: Stamp with script image, from Great impressions(a local company). Stamped with cocoa,

"It's your birthday" image from Crafty individuals stamped with brown.

Embelishments: Cream ribbon, layered with brown velvet, mint green pearls, punched flowers and mint green butterfly.

I would love to hear your comments.
Almost weekend, and here in South Africa we have a public holiday on Sunday, so we get a bonus by having Monday off as well.
