Beautiful butterflies

Good morning to you all,
I can't believe that is such a long time since I have been on here, but I guess I just don't blog too much anymore..so maybe need to change that a bit.

Anyway today a new challenge is starting at Let's Craft and Create. It is always anything goes and this month you can add beautiful butterflies as an option and possibly even win a lovely prize.
The DT have made such gorgeous cards so I do hope you will pop in for some inspiration.

For my card I used a KaiserCraft sheet from an old selection with a butterfly border.

The butterfly is a rubber stamp from a local supplier and one of my first stamps I bought many years back. I coloured it with a selection of inks, and added a bit of glitter then cut it out.

The sentiment was found on the internet and printed on my pc. I cut it out with a Nellie Snellen MFD and added pearls to finish.

I will enter the following challenges:

Crafting by Designs April ...Anything goes
Crafty Creations ...#387 ...Anything goes
Elliebelle's Corner ...April ..wings, tails or spring blossoms
Word Art Wednesday ...#380/381 ...Anything goes

Thank you for popping in and I will really try and post more often. Take care and see you soon.

Love, Ursula

Colour inspiration at The Outlawz

Good morning friends and a Happy Spring day.

Yes it is Spring here in South Africa, not officially until 21 September, I think, but it is definitely Spring. Warm temperatures, lovely green shoots on the trees, daffodils, sweet peas and many more all flowering...a beautiful time of the year.

I have made my first card in 6 weeks and it did almost feel like I was a beginner, but I am sure in a week or so I hope to feel like a pro.

This week for the Colour challenge
at The Outlawz, Susan has challenged us with a beautiful inspirational photo...just perfect for those lovely evenings we are having. To enter the challenge just use whatever inspires you from this photo.

Our sponsor this month is All Dressed Up and for my card I used a freebie image called Butterflies which you can find HERE
Please go and check out the cards made by the DT, to see what inspired them.

My inspiration was the colours and the flowers.

This is what I used:

Image - coloured with Distress inkpads, cut with a Nellie's MFD.

Paper - I used a new paper pad from the JBS collection, my DIL brought me from The Netherlands.

The flowers were made using Nellie Snellen floral punches and all coloured with Distress inkpads.

Added pearls and some glitter.

Sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp.

Butterflies and birds

Happy Sunday morning friends,
I hope all my American blogging friends had a lovely day yesterday and that you had a good celebration with family and friends.

Today there is a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create. The theme this month is Butterflies or birds and as I love butterflies, I so enjoyed making my card. The DT have some beautiful projects to show, so please go over and leave them some love.

I had fun making this card. I started off with a stencil from Dutch Doobadoo and using texture paste created the honeycomb  effect. then stamped the image, and when all was dry, used Pan Pastels to create the colour all over.

The 3 butterflies were lazercuts also from Dutch Doobadoo which I coloured and touched with some glitter. Adhered them and added pearls.

The sentiment was a freebie from a magazine. Stamped it and then went over it with Pan Pastels.

Finished off with ribbon and a  birdcage charm
