Christmas already????

Happy Monday everyone. NO still 6 months to Christmas, (thank goodness) but I have committed to make several cards for a member of our RSA group, who is doing a cummunity project, so best I get them done now.
I am entering this into the following challenges
CHNC challenge Anything goes
Christmas cards all year round anything goes
The Outawz .. Tuesday colour challenge... Green, red, blue with symetrical shapes

Paper... white cardstock. DP was all pieces from last year.. names are unknown.
Cut 3 trees with cuttlebug and embossed, added a bit of glitter and bling.
Sentiment ... a peel off that I coloured with my peeloff pens.
A very quick card to make and have a few more ready.

Christmas card recycled

Good evening all, Here we are second week of the year and my second Christmas card .... so far so good. This week on Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge we had to recycle or use a freebie. Well I kind of used both.
Paper: white card and matted a green onto that. The green card I first put through the cuttlebug with a folder that I got from my DIL in The Netherlands. It is really lovely and comes from "Crafts-Too" It embosses a frame and the centre is left plain for an image or sentiment. I took the liberty and classed this as a freebie.... it isn't maybe in the true sense... I also added a little bit of bling and shine to the berries and dots.
For the recycled bit I cut the picture from a card received this year and added that, just raising it.
I must say this was so quick. It took longer for the glitter to dry than making the card.

Still Christmas season

Happy Monday morning everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful New Year celebration and that everyone is ready and inspired for the new year. I didn't think that my first card for the year would be a Christmas card, but here we are..... I still have a couple of stamped images, so found these challenges that I could enter.

Karen's Doodles challenge calls for a "celebration" card.

I used the following:
Paper: White cardstock, matted a green card which I ran through the cuttlebug with a Christmas folder and distressed it a little.
Image: is a freebie digital from Karen's doodles. I cut it out with my NEW Nestie labels 13 dies. Coloured with distress inkpads. I put some puff paint on the hat and brushed some stickles on. Used glitter on the present and the bow.
I also added a piece of red and green ribbon for the Reasonable Ribbon challenge.
Sentiment was stamped on a label and attached with 2 red Christmas brads that I received in an Advent swap that I took part in.

The Craftyhazelnuts Christmas challenge runs throughout the year, so by taking part at least you will have a stash of cards for Christmas.... now that's a good idea.

Christmas card

Hello to my friends in blogland.Happy Friday (almost Saturday), the weekend is here and all is well, I hope. At last I can see the light at the end of the tunnel as far as work and orders are concerned. I was able to spend a short while today and made some cards. If there is one lesson I have learnt and will try and do so in the new year, is to make a note of anything I download, or see, as I cannot give credit some of the time.
This card was a very quick one. I used paper that I printed a while back, so need to go and have a look and see where it came from. Matted that onto red cardstock.
I then cut 4 squares from red glimmer cardstock with my nestabilites and cut the letters with my cuttlebug alphabet dies. In the bottom corner, not sure that it shows up too well, is a cuttlebugged snowlfake layered, and glittered with a sparkly centre. It looks quite nice in reality.
Well we have had a week of rainy weather. From Wednesday morning to Thursday we had 100mm + of rain. At 8am I saw the raingauge overflowing, so not actually sure how much rain fell in that 24hr period. Thankfully the sun shone brightly today and we were able to dry out all our moulds etc. It was a lovely summers day. Well that's enough chatter from me, time is marching on and I have more cards to make. Warm wishes and have a great weekend.
