Let's Create and Craft ... new challenge with purple and green

 Hello to everyone,

Welcome to a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create for the month of March. This is my favourite month, being my birthday month, I met my hubby many years ago and got engaged in March (not in the same year) and it is the start of autumn ...a season I love with crisp mornings, warm days and lovely cooler evenings.

This month the challenge is as always,  Anything goes, but with the option of using purple and green...2 great colours. The design team have used these colours in some gorgeous projects for inspiration, so please pop in and leave them some love.  There is also a small prize up for grabs, so please join in the fun and you have the whole month to do so.

I have decided to carry on with my mission of using up my stash and also making CAS cards.

The paper is from an old Joy Crafts paper pad ...Happy Bloc's.

The butterfly is die cut using a Marianne Design die, and stash paper.

The sentiment is a freebie from  Desert Diva

I will enter the following challenges:

Creative fingers challenge #226 ... Anything goes

Crafty Catz #585 ...CAS

Cards 4 Galz #167 ..Things with wings

Fab n Funky #546 ...Dies or stencils

Little Red Wagon #643 ...Let it be...

I hope that everyone is staying healthy and safe. With the dramatic events taking place in Europe, and the uncertainties and worries in the world,   I can only wish you all peace and love. Look out for one another and remember to smile...

Thanks for visiting and I hope to be back soon.

Love Ursula

Let's add buttons

 Goodday friends,

I do hope you are all keeping safe and healthy. If you are in the Southern part of the world like me, I think you are feeling the winter chills and hope you are keeping warm. In the North, it seems that summer has been a little slow in coming to some parts but hope you are all making the best of whatever weather mother nature is handing out right now.  As for  Covid, if you are in some form of lockdown, I trust that you are able to find someway of keeping busy, and if the restrictions are lifted where you are, please take care and be safe.

It's time for another challenge at  Let's Craft and Create and this month we are inviting you to add buttons to your project as an option....of course our challenges are always "anything goes" but it is great to add a little something else to the challenge.  The design team have some super inspirational cards for you, so I do hope you will pop in. You have a whole month to join and a lovely gift certificate is up for grabs.

My card is again a fairly simple and CAS one....no colouring of images for me at the moment and as I am still on a mission to use up my stash of papers I pulled out an old KaiserCraft  range of papers for this card.

All the paper is from that range and even the border is a strip that is just pull off and stick down.

The sentiment is from a page of words and I just cut out the letters of each word. I thought these words just right for my frame of mind at the moment.

And for the optional buttons, I added 3 of those.

I am entering the following challenges:

Crafty Catz challenge #55 ...Anything goes

As you like it challenge ...CAS card. I like the symplicity of CAS cards

Crafty Creations #422 ...Anything goes

Creative Moments #215 ...Anything goes

Ellibelles Corner June challenge...CAS

Word Art Wednesday ..Week 493 ...Anything goes

Thank you for visiting me here, and hope to see you soon. Take care, stay safe.

Love Ursula

A CAS card

Hello friends,
I just realised that this card that I made for an anniversary was never shown here, so let me do that now.

I saw something similar on Pinterest and rather liked it. I don't usually do CAS cards, but this one just fell into place.

I used red card and matted a piece that I had put through the CB. I actually used a stencil and then lightly went over certain areas with distress inks.

The bench is a Marianne Design die. I cut the heart out of the backrest and then inlaid a red heart.

The little birdies are Memeory box dies.

A peel off for the sentiment.

Will enter it in some challenges:

Crafty Creations #300...Don't be blue
Inspiration Destination #56...Anything goes
The Sisterhood of Crafters Die-lirous and punchy
Wonderful Wednesday ...Anything goes
Craft your Passion #284...Anything goes
Hiding in my Craftroom #221...Favourite cutting tool...Cuttlebug

Ok, that's all I have for you today. Have a wonderful day and hope to see you soon. Take care.

Love Ursula

Week 3 new colours

Good morning friends,

Today's card is using the colours from week 3 of the Card Camp. I am rather behind, just don't know who is stealing my time...LOL.

This card was made for the Outlawz Sunday CAS challenge. I decided to use the colours from card camp. We were to use only stamps, any kind, rubber, digital, but no DP. A real challenge!!!
Here is what I have done.

Paper: Card is all Bazzil...brown, cream and taupe.
Image: Great Impressions, a local company. Firstly I used a piece of mesh and rubbed over that with a Colour box chalk - Alabaster, all over the brown card for a background. I then stamped the image twice with Versafine Vintage Sepia, and cut out the dragonfly from the second one. Coloured that with fired brick distress pad and brushed some Twinkling H20.. garnet over, just for a bit of glimmer. Mounted that with 3D squares.
Sentiment also stamped with the same inkpad onto a piece of tapue card and trimmed with a fancy edge scissors.
