The Outlawz colour challenge

Happy Tuesday everyone,
I do hope you are all having a good week. We are in the throws of a heat wave and it is only spring...not sure what summer will be like.

Today we have a new colour challenge at The Outlawz. Laurian has chosen this lovely photo for inspiration, and the colour palette is partly your choice. You have to use red and the other 2 colours to be taken from the photo. The twist is also for you to decide, just let us know what you have chosen.

Being the first challenge of October we have a new sponsor for the month. Nice Crane Designs have given the DT some images and colour sheets to play with.

For my card this week I have chosen to use a picture from Henderson's Giant Flowers #2. You can find it HERE

For my card I used yellow and green together with the red and the twist is to make a 3 D picture.

I used yellow cardstock and cut a shape using a Marianne Design die. Matted it to the red card.

The picture was printed 3 times and I cut out 2 of the tulips and some leaves and layered them using silicone.

The ribbon is green and added a bow, together with green pearls.

A little tag with a sentiment completed it all.

Will enter it in the following challenges:

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #19...Anything goes
Pile it on #89...Recipe 1,2,3....1 tag, 2 colours cardstock, 3 layers on picture

Prick and stitch...what fun.

Good morning friends,
I am starting to get into a normal routine, and over the jet lag and the holiday feeling. Have started making cards and a few are in the post, so they will be shown when they have reached their destination. Will get to do some challenges now. I did however make one card while on holiday. I took with me some prick and stitch patterns to do, as somehow at home I don't get round to doing that many and I was able to make a complete card, with some freebies out of a magazine. I wanted a thank you card for a friend. So here it is.
Well the weekend is almost here, and with that our first week back at home, with really cold weather arriving as well. I guess it is now really into winter woolies. Will be back soon.
