We have been having a taste of winter here in my part of South Africa. Since Sunday we have had cloudy and cool days with some rather chilly winds blowing from the mountains where there has been some snowfalls. I think it will start warming up again from tomorrow, but it has been quite nice to stay indoors for most part and get on with some crochet projects I am busy with.
Now on to our colour challenge for this week.
Laurian, chose the inspirational photo and the twist...and they are lovely colours to work with.
We have Bugaboo as our sponsor for this month, so there are gorgeous projects made by the DT using their images. I have used sketchy floral teapot which you can find HERE
As the twist for this week is 'get inky' I used my favourites...Distress inks with some water and water colour paper and had fun. I matted this piece of 'artwork' onto purple cardstock.
The image was also coloured with Distress inkpads. I added some glossy accents to the little ladybugs. Cut the image out with an oval die and mounted on my card.
The sentiment was stamped onto the card with a vintage sepia stamp pad.
A button and pearls to finish it all off.
Will enter this into some challenges.
