Colour challenge with a tropical twist.

Good morning all,
Tuesday has come round so quickly again, but on one hand I don't mind. On Friday our son, dil and grandies  arrive from The Netherlands. It will be just great to have them around...even if we have to share them with the rest of the family.

Onto business for today!. The new colour challenge at The Outlawz is on, and it is the choice of Laurian this week. She gave us this gorgeous photo for inspiration with lovely colours and the twist can only be Tropical.

The DT have made really beautiful cards with these colours and theme and I urge you to go and have a look, then join us with your creations.

Here is my card for this week and what I used

Paper - Pink, blue cardstock with corners rounded
Yellow card using a Marianne Design die for a frame and inked the embossing.

Vellum put through the CB with a Memory box stencil and the 'no more shims' mat. This technique is described and shown very nicely by Kitty of Kittys Craft.  She has lovely ideas on her blog as well.

Image is Hibiscus from DS4J and you can find it  HERE. I coloured it with my usual Distress inkpads and some Pontura dots on the stamens, then raised with dimensional pads.

Sentiment is a Whiff of Joy.
A bow to finish

I will enter this in a few challenges.

I wish you all a wonderful week and hope the snowy weather I have seen mentioned soon passes and spring returns to those in the North. We are now very much into autumn, with lots of cloudy, even a feel of winter some days, but our sunny days should be back soon we hope.

Take care and see you soon. Thanks for visiting, I really love it when you pop in.
Love Ursula

Ursula, gorgeous as this is, I don't think it qualifies as HANDMADE flowers.

Best of luck with the other challenges you have entered though.
