Hello everyone and a Happy New Year to you all. It seems incredible that we are already well into the first week of 2023. I hope that you had time to relax and enjoy the holiday season in whichever way you celebrate. I also realized that with the summer solstice that has come and gone, our days will start getting shorter and heading to winter which is a scary thought as we have not yet had much summer...we have had plenty of rain and as we are in a summer rainfall area that has been good for the dams. I hope you all have a creative, enjoyable year.
OK now onto the new challenge for January over at Let's Craft and Create which is always Anything goes, but with an optional twist.. Black and White. The DT have some fabulous cards for inspiration, so do hop on over and see what they have to show. You have a whole month to enter your projects and there is a prize for some lucky participant...
I have made a very simple card and as I have done for the past 2 years, I am only using from my stash.
I embossed cardstock with a very old embossing folder and matted it onto black cardstock.'
The flower is handmade. I cut four flowers of different sizes using a Joycrafts Floral Flourishes die.
Sprayed them with water and crinckled them a little when almost dry. Used a brad to hold them together.
Added a gingham ribbon and some pearls
The sentiment is a no name stamp.
I will enter in the following challenges:
Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday challenge ...January ...Anything goes
The Paper Shelter .. Christmas break challenge ...Anything goes
A Perfect Time to Craft ... Open challenge #1
Crafts Galore Encore challenge January 2023 ...Anything goes
Love to Craft challenge #72 ...Anything goes
I do hope you will come and join in this first challenge of 2023. and I will see you soon.
Love, Ursula

A Beautiful card Ursula, love the monochrome and embossing. Good for you resisting buying more stuff! I was trying to do it, but have given in a few times!
Happy New Year.
