As usual on a Tuesday there is a new colour challenge at The Outlawz. This week it is the turn of Carla to select a colour palette and inspirational photo, and as always there is a twist....add lace. You need to use at least 3 of the colours.

I have used Life in color





For my card I used pink, blue and cream. I made the background using a Memory Box stencil and Pan Pastels.

The image was coloured with Distress inkpads.

Added lace and pearls.

My patchwork card.

Happy Sunday friends,
I do hope you are all enjoying a great weekend...the last one of August. We are having amazing weather...summer temps. I do hope it settles down to more spring like temps, but it is lovely to be outside in warm weather with no extra clothing.

As we draw near to the end of August, I see I haven't used my image for this month's progressive image at  Digistamps4Joy, so got onto it straight away. If you have never joined in this challenge, then just go to the link and join. You will receive the image and as long as you enter a card you will receive the new one.

The image is Patchwork Country coloured with Distress inkpads. It is matted onto brown cardstock.

I used a patchwork embossing folder for my background.

Sentiment is computer generated.

Colour challenge with Olympics

Good morning all,
Tuesday again and a new colour challenge at The Outlawz.

The colour palette was chosen by AJ, and she chose the Olympic flag, and what a fitting choice, having been so involved with the Olympics over the past 2 weeks. Many hours spent watching all the amazing athletes.

So this week we ask you to use at least 3 of the colours for your project

For my card I used Christmas trio blocks







Paper from my stash

I coloured the images with Distress inkpads and added glitter, Cut each one out and mounted on a coloured diecut.

Added a bow and  attached a small wooden christmas tree

Sentiment was cut from a piece of designer paper in my stash.

Sunday releases at DS4J

Good morning and a happy Sunday to you all,

There are some images being released at Digistamps4Joy to day and you can see the lovely cards made by the DT for inspiration using these images. So head on over HEREand see what they have to show.



I have used paper from my stash and cut the spotted one with a Nellie Snellen MFD.

The image is Party Shoes coloured with Twinkling H20's with a touch of glitter added.

The sentiment is an embossing folder. I used a co-ordinations paper and sanded the embossing to bring out the base colour.

Finished off with pearls.

Fancy fold for the Colour challenge

Good morning all,
Another Tuesday has crept up on us and so there is a new colour challenge at The Outlawz.
This week it was the turn of my teamie Jacqui to select a colour palette and inspirational photo. The twist being "A fancy fold"

I have used the image Frame it..Our thoughts and prayers candle



I am not sure that my fold has a special name, but I use it quite often,

The paper is from my stash.

I coloured the image with Distress inks and added a pearl finish to the candle. cut it out and matted to a scolloped diecut.

Added pearls to finish, I didn't add anything else to the card, as I prefer these to be a little less fussy.

Midway challenge #127 at Digistamps4Joy

Happy Monday friends,
It is a lovely and spring like morning in my part of the country, but needless to say winter will still try and make its presence felt at some time. In the meantime we are enjoying the lovely weather.

The papers are from Kaisecraft's True Romance, punched a fancy corner.

The image was coloured with Pan Pastels and cut with a MFD.

A bootfull of flowers

It is a good morning as we are having a holiday in South Africa today, celebrating Women's Day.....

At The Outlaws the new Colour challenge has started. This week Ina has selected the colour palette and inspirational photo. You choose 2 colours from the photo and your own twist.

I have used the image Spring boot

For my card I used the colours Teal, yellow and a brick red and the twist ...add stripes.

The paper I used is from an old bloc and had  the right colours, with the edges punched.

The image was coloured with Distress inkpads and cut with an X-cut die.

Wedding anniversary at Let's Craft and Create

Good morning,
After a rather chilly couple of days and strong winds blowing the whole night through, we are hopefully going to have a lovely sunny and warm day.

Today there is a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create with the theme Wedding or Wedding anniversary. The Dt have made some really stunning cards, so please pop over and feast your eyes.

I made an anniversary card and tried my hand at making it CAS.



I used a new Marianne Creatables die to cut the lovely edge.  Have had it for a while though, but not used before.

Cut the hearts with a Nellie Snellen die and embossed the large one, coloured the small one.

Stamped the sentiment and added pearls.

Had to stop myself from adding  more.

My GD card with circles

Happy Wednesday all,

Here in South Africa we are having a holiday for local government elections  so I guess it is a happy Wednesday.  I will be going off later to do the right thing,

I have been invited as GD for the new Creative Moments challenge#99, as I am on the DT for Digistamps4Joy and they are the sponsors for this challenge.

This is my card using circles for the challenge theme

I made my own background by spraying my watercolour paper with glimmer mist. When it was dry I used a stencil with circles and randomly sponged gold Pan Pastels over the background.

The image is lovebirds, coloured with Distress inkpads and cut with a circle MFD. Matted onto a scolloped diecut.

The sentiment is also from DS4J and is one of a set of Blessings. This I also cut out with circle MFD.

Finished it all off with ribbon and some pearls

Colour challenge plays tic-tac-toe

Good morning friends,

Another colour challenge at The Outlawz this week. The first one for August and Laurian has given us a tic-tac-toe grid to use for this challenge. I love this as I don't have to make many desicions.

I had the paper for a long time. It came with a stamping magazine a number of years back and was just perfect for this card.

Coloured the image with Distress Inkpads, Cut it out with an X-cut MFD. Matted onto a purple die cut. Added glitter and buttons.

The sentiment was from a DoCrafts set from long ago as well.

August Progressive challenge at The Outlawz.

Good morning all,
Well here we are in the 8th month of the year. Definitely looking forward to spring...just around the corner. Well today it is freezing cold..lovely clear skies, but an icy wind blowing from the snowy Drakensburg mountains.

Well a new month brings a new challenge and if you played in last month's progressive challenge, then you will be getting the new image during the course of the day. I couloured the image with Distress inkpads and cut it out with a Nellie Snellen MFD. I used one of the set to cut the frame and coloured it with Pan Pastels.

Mounted it onto a green DP matted onto cardstock.

Attached a ribbon and bow with some pearls coloured with my Copics.
