June progressive challenge......just in time

Hello friends,

Today is the last day of June...in 6 months time, we will be facing another year...but let's get the next six months behind us first.

There is a progressive challenge on the Digistamps4Joy FB page and I had completely forgotten about the image...already printed and coloured but not made into a card. Lucky I still had 2 days left, so yesterday I got it done.

If you haven't played before, then you need to join the  group on the FB page and request the new image for July, when you make your card you are allowed to play again the next month and so on.

I used paper from a Marianne Design..Pretty Papers bloc - Noir and Blanc.

The image is Misteri Graduate and I used Distress inkpads and Twinkling H20's for colouring. Cut it out with Nellie's MFD

Added a sentiment and pearls to finish.

Add a butterfly

Hello friends,
Here we are with the last colour challenge for June at The Outlawz, It just doesn't seem like we can be half way through the year yet.

This week Cara has chosen the colour palette and photo for our inspiration with the twist to add a butterfly. This is such a pretty picture and reminds me of spring, which is just around the corner for us here in the Southern Hemisphere.
I even saw one very keen daffodil with a bud.

For the last time this month we are sponsored by Pickled Pot Pourri Designs and I have loved using their images.

Our DT have made such beautiful cards using their images, so please come and join us.



For my card I used Petunia frame  and we have some lovely colourful petunias around at the moment. Even have some in the garden.


I have made a very simple card, as I find I am needing a few of these at the moment.

The paper is all from my stash and was happy to find a piece with the butterflies.

The purple scolloped has shiny leaves, but doesn't show up very well. In fact all the colours are not quite perfect.

On the image I just coloured the flower with leaves, using my distress inkpads.

Added a butterfly, which I punched twice  and layered.

Finished off with pearls

Little Christmas tree

Happy Sunday friends,

We are having such amazing weather this weekend. Cold evenings, but lovely warm sunny days with almost no wind......not too sure how long this spell will last, so enjoying it while I can.

Today we have several new images at Digistamps4Joy and the one I have used is My little tree.

This time round I made a stepper card.



The papers are all from my stash, which is very slowly being used up....need to get on with more Christmas cards.
The 2 front ones with the trees was a free download many years back and now I can't even find where I got it.

I coloured the image with Distress inkpads added glitter and a few stars.

Cut it out with a Nellie Snellen die and matted onto a larger fancy one from the same set.

I didn't add a sentiment as there is a lot of printing on the card.
It was a fun one to do.

A water lily this week

Good morning friends,
It is a happy day as it is the winter solstice...That means that summer is around the corner, even though the coldest part of the winter is still to come.

Today we have another colour challenge at The Outlawz.




The colour palette was the choice of my teamie AJ.
A lovely one again this week as you get to choose some colours and the twist.

I have used the image water lily






For my card I used a Kraft card.

Coloured the image with Distress ink pads and cut it out with an X-cut die.

Matted it onto cardstock that I coloured with the inkpads to get the same shade as the image.

Added  ribbon with a bow and some pearls.

Will add a sentiment later when I am going to use it.

Will be entering some challenges later.

DS4J challenge with a twist of fairies

Good morning friends,
The challenge this month at Digistamps4Joy is as always Anything goes, but with a twist to add Fairies.

The Dt have made awesome cards using different fairies. There is a large selection of fairies in the store. You do not have to use a DS4J image to win, but you DO need to use an image, either stamped or digital.

I have used the image Pondering fairy and you can find it HERE

I have used paper from a KaiserCrafts paper pad ..True Romance

The diecut is from a Marianne Design die.

Coloured the image with Distress Inkpads and added pearls with Pontura pearl makers and a touch of glitter.

Sentiment - words taken from the printed paper

Pearls in the corners and a bow to finish.

Play tic-tac-toe

Good morning friends,
Today I invite you to play tic-tac-toe at the Colour challenge. Laura has chosen this colour bloc for us and it has so many options that it can only be fun to create something.



This month our sponsor is Pickled Potpourri Designs and the DT have used their images in such different ways. Please come along and see what we have created.

I have used the image  birthday bear and it comes with a balloon
and a sentiment.






For my card I have used the left row down.

I used an embossing folder for the background.

My image was coloured with Pan Pastels for a change.

The sentiment and the balloons are peel-offs.

Added a bow with twine and brads to finish.

Dancing to the music today

Hello everyone,
Yikes...Tuesday has come around again and so a new Colour Challenge at the Outlawz.  It is also the first challenge of June. This week the theme is monochrome and it is hosted by teamie Jacqui. You can of course choose any other colour than blue if you would like.








We also have a new sponsor this month Pickled Potpourie Designs I have used the image Just Dance




I used plain cardstock in 3 shades of blue and stamped the music stamp from a JoyCrafts set onto the lightest shade. Used a blue stamp pad.

Cut out the image and added a touch of glitter, raised it with silicone.

The sentiment is also from the same Music set.

Finished of with some pearls.,

Hearts and Flowers

Happy Sunday morning friends,

It is time once again for a challenge at Let's Craft and Create with the theme Hearts and flowers..

It is with great sadness that our challenge and this post is dedicated to Eileen Dobson who started this challenge blog and was our team leader. Eileen passed away this past week after suffering some time from Cancer. We will all miss her for the friend that she had become. R.I.P Eileen.

The DT have some awesome projects for inspiration and I do urge you to go and see the lovely creations.

I decided for a change not to use an image, but to do some 3D cutting.

The Paper was all from my stash and the hearts were cut with a Nellie Snellen MFD.

Progressive challenge at The Outlawz

Happy 1st June.....
Wow, where is this year disappearing to, soon we will be counting down the days to the end of 2016, but there is still lots to get through before that happens.

We are having such mild weather at the moment. It should be cold now as winter is upon us but the temps are still in the 20s C during the day and the nights have only gone down to 4 or 5 Deg. a few times. I am not complaining, but I think it is going to hit us with a shock soon.
