New Colour challenge at The Outlawz

Happy Tuesday morning to you all,

Good grief, we have reached the last Tuesday of April.........and another colour challenge at The Outlawz. This week my teamie  Jacqui has chosen to play tic-tac-toe..always such fun with so many options.

Our prize this month is a $10 GC for Raspberry Road Designs, from our leader Laurian.

For my card I went with the option...diagonal..top left to bottom right. I have used those colours with designer paper and ribbon, and my free centre block ..I have done Iris folding




I haven't done any Iris folding in a looong time, so really wanted to try my hand at it again...but why did I choose a small pattern for this one...anyway got it done.

The designer paper is from a Marianne Design  Pretty papers block ...Nostalgia, I did a little bit of shading round the design.

Added pearls and  ribbon with a bow.

The sentiment is a peel-off.

Make it Feminine at Creative Craft Cottage

Hello friends, I hope the week is being good to you.

We are already into the last quarter of April and we are still having such lovely almost summer weather. Our temps are still in the upper 20's...28/29 almost daily. We even had a good shower of rain, which is now almost over for us in this area until October/November.  Thank goodness the nights are somewhat cooler and one can sleep without having fans going. Autum is slow in arriving, but no doubt winter will just jump in without much warning. Enough about the weather....onto the challenge.

The new challenge for this fortnight at Creative Craft Cottageis Feminine. We have 2 sponsors again for this challenge and I have used an image from Sassy Studio Designs called day at the park




The paper is from noname pack, matted onto blue cardstock.

The image is coloured with Distress inkpads and cut out.

The fancy die cut is a Nellie Snellen die.

Added pearls, lace and a bow.

Stamped the sentiment ..happy birthday and cut the other one out and mounted it with foam pads.

A monochrome challenge at The Outlawz.

Good morning All,
Today being Tuesday we have another colour challenge for you at The Outlawz.   Ina has chosen a monochrome colour theme for this week, but you can use any colour of your choice.






For my card I have gone with pinks.

Paper from my stash
Image is from Sheepski Design. Andrea offered this as a freebie for this month..April, so it is still available on her blog if you would like to collect it. I coloured it with Distress inkpads and cut it out with a MFD, which I then matted onto a scolloped oval.

Punched 4 corners, added some dewdrops, ribbon and a bow

The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.




Will enter some challenges later today. It is such a beautiful day here and we had some lovely rain yesterday, so guess what I am going to do for a few hours....gardening.

Digistamps4Joy #123...Add butterflies

 Happy Friday everyone.

This is to remind you all that you still have 2 weeks to enter the challenge at Digistamps4Joy. The challenge is hosted by Asmah and she has asked us to add butterflies. Our challenges are always Anything goes, but the twist is optional. You get an extra entry in the draw if you played along with the twist. Something from Nature is the twist

Happy Tuesday,
It is a beautiful autumn day here with lovely clear skies, warm sunshine and just a slight autumnal breeze to keep things comfortable.



For the colour challenge at The Outlawz this week we have a gorgeous colour palette given us by my teamie Laura, We needed to use at least 3 colours and add the twist ... something from nature.


We don't have a sponsor this month but our winner will receive a $10 gift certificate for Raspberry Road Designs. For inspiration please pop in and see the amazing projects that the DT have made.


I used 3 colours, pink, purple and yellow from the colour palette and how I made the card.





Patterned paper from my stash.

Background made with Distress inkpads on watercolour paper. Butterflies stamped with Distress inkpads in Festive berries, Dusty concord and Fossilized Amber.

The centre image stamped and coloured with some of the distress inks used, then matted onto pink card and raised with 3D tape.

Finished off with pearls.

The stamps are all from Papermania - Urban Stamps, Botanical print.

Add some sparkle at Creative Craft Cottage

Good morning on this rather cold Thursday,

Here in the southern part of Africa we have been having lovely warm autumn weather, but we have had a rather rude awakening today to cold grey weather...I guess we knew winter would arrive, but not quite yet....anyway, here where we live on the Highveld, the cold should be shortlived as the days will start warming again soon and we are so lucky to usually have nice warm sunny days.

Onto the challenge for today. At Creative Craft Cottage the new challenge today calls for us to "add some sparkle".



We have 2 sponsors again this time and I have used an image from Lacy Sunshine stamps Ladybug Lyndsey Bugmees and you can find it HERE

This is what I used:

Paper from my stash. Red cardstock,
Punched the corners of a green patterned paper and matted onto the red.

Image is coloured with Distress inkpads and I used black Pontura pearlmakers for the black dots. Added glitter to the wings for my sparkle. Cut it out with a MFD die and matted this onto a black diecut.

Added red ribbon that has a sparkle design.

Sentiments were stamped onto the paper

For the man in your life

Good morning everyone,
I am running very late as I had forgotten to post this on Tuesday....OK I will stand in the corner today.

At Let's Craft and Create this month we are asking you to make a card for a man. I know some of you find this a real challenge, but the DT have some lovelyt ideas for you so go over and pay them a visit.

This is what I came up with.

Paper, from a pad Äll for the men" from Marianne Design.

The image is a combination  of 2 different stamps. Happy birthday and the other from a Darcy collection for men. Cujt it out with an X-cut MFD and matted onto a larger diecut which I coloured with a brick stencil.

Added twine and 2 charms and finished it with 3 buttons.

For this I followed the sketch from http://www.atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.co.za/,, but was too late to enter.

Follow the flag at the Outlawz today

Good morning bloggers from a somewhat cooler Crafting Corner today.
We are told that the next 2 days will be a lot cooler, so I guess this is old man winter trying to get in at the door, but I am sure we can shut is closed for a little while longer....Enough about the weather.

Today at The Outlawz the colour challenge has us using the Namibian flag for inspiration.
You need to use at least 3 colours for your entry, and their is a $10 Gift certificate for the prize this month.

The DT have made an awesome array of projects for this challeng, so we would love you to come and join us.

For my card this week I decided not to have an image to colour.

The paper was from my stash...still trying to use up some of the old paper.

I used the small Iceland Poppy die from Poppy stamps. Have had this about a year and the first time using it. Coloured the diecut with Distress inkpads and added some  Pontura Pearlamker to the ends of the stamens.

Finished it off with some pearls and a Thanks sentiment.

I enjoyed this fairly simple design this week, hope you like it as well.

New images at Digistamps4Joy

Happy Sunday everyone,
I hope it is as beautiful a day by you as it is here. Gorgeous late summer/autumn days. I love this time of year.

Today we have some new images for you at Digistamps4Joy. The one I have used is Arum Lilly Border and you can find it HERE The good news is that it is on a special for April and even better news it is the freebie for the progressive challenge over on the FB group

If you have joined the progressive challenge you will receive this image, if you would like to join, just go the the FB group and request the image, when you have made your card post it there and next month you will get the new image......very easy and a way of getting some images.




The paper I used is from a new paper pad by Prima ...Time traveller's memories. I bought it last year, but only opened it now.

I coloured the image with Distress inkpads and added Pontura gold pearl maker. I cut it out with an X-cut MFD.

The sentiment I printed. It comes from a blogging friend Hanlie and she has several very nice sentiments on her BLOG

Added 3 Pearls to finish.

The Outlawz April Progresseve challenge

Good morning everyone and a happy 1st April to you all. I hope you watch out for those April Fool pranksters and don't get caught.

Well this is no joke, but a new Progressive challenge
at The Outlawz starts today. We have an image from a brand new designer Andrea Norris of Sheepski Designs. She is also on one of the Outlawz Design Teams.
Andrea has given us two versions of her image. One like the one I used and the other has the word "MUM".

The DT have made beautiful creations and if you have played along this month your image will be in your inbox sometime today. If not, you need to join us and let us have your email and you can also play along.







I used my Aquarelle pencils for this. Haven't used them in ages.
