A special delivery

Happy Friday friends,

This is my card using another of the free digis that is up for grabs.

 The paper was a freebie in a magazine a number of years back.

Added some cloud effect to the top half of the card

Image..turtle delivery was coloured with Distress inkpads and glitter added. Cut it out with a Nellie Snellen MFD and mounted on a larger diecut.

The sentiment on the diecut was embossed and the other cut out and mounted with foam pads. Both are from a set of Marianne Design sentiments.

I followed the card sketch from Stick it down for my card.

Spotlighting a flower today

Hello friends and a happy Tuesday.

Once again we have a new colour challenge  at The Outlawz and this week Ina has challenged us with a lovely inspirational photo and a twist to make a floral project and highlight just one of the flowers.
The DT have made some gorgeous cards, so do come along and support them.

I decided to do a spotlight technique with one of the flowers using a Hero Arts stamp that hasn't been inked up for ages.


My patterned paper does have some yellow in it but it has come up very light.

Added pearls to the flower centres and a brad to hold the tags.

A simple card this week, but quite like it.

Well I am off to the party and this is my card made with the free image '4th Birthday' today.

I made a side step card, using some very old paper with presents.

The image was coloured with distress inks, glitter added and glossy accents.

Happy birthday was cut with a, Impression Obsession die and the words I printed on my computer

Pearls and lace challenge

Happy Sunday friends,
It is lovely and cool this morning, but the forecast is for another hot day with temps going up to 30 deg C. so am enjoying this gorgeous morning with some cloud.

A new challenge is starting at Creative Craft Cottage today with the theme lace and pearls.

We have 2 sponsors again this time and I have used an image from Dr. Digis House of Stamps The DT have used various images for their cards and they have made gorgeous samples for inspiration. Please hop over and leave them some love.

Feeling blue???

Good morning friends,

Having been away for a bit and with our weather back into heatwave conditions, it has been an effort this past week to get back to normal day to day things. At least I was able to get my card finished on time for today's new colour challenge at The Outlawz.

This week Laurian has challenged us to do a Monochrome card......I do find them a bit challenging, but managed to get this one done and quite happy with it.

This is my card using the image A cuddle makes it all better''. It was coloured with Distress inkpads cut with a MFD and mounted onto a dark blue scolloped die cut.

I used paper paper from a 'no name' paper bloc.

3 different ribbons,..1 paper ribbon, 1 washi tape and a ribbon
3 little flower buttons, with the backs cut off.

The sentiment was attached with a flower brad.

I followed the sketch from Paper Craft Crew sketch #181

Tag you're it

Good morning blogging friends,
I am rather late with this post, but I have been away on a small holiday, doing a cruise up the South African coast. I decided not to schedule this as I would be back to post it myself, which I was....but returned on Saturday evening to NO internet and it has just come back now. (Monday mid morning)...so my apologies.  I did have a lovely holiday.

The challenge at Creative Craft Cottage this fortnight is...Tag, you're it.  We again have 2 sponsors this time and the image I have used is from Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps called Spring Cart and you can find it HERE

The DT have made such lovely cards for inspiration, so please do go and have a look, then come and join in the fun. Great digi prizes to win as well.

I have made a Z fold card this time.

The paper is from my stash.

I coloured the image with Distress inkpads, added little pearl maker centres, and cut it out with a MF Die.

I added a corner diecut on the inside to hold my tag, which I diecut from a KaiserCraft page of sentiments. Punched the corners and added a ribbon.
Also added a small corner diecut with pearls to finish.

DS4J Anything goes with a tag

Hello friends,
I am away for a few days, so I do hope this post will go ahead as scheduled.

There is a new challenge at Digistamps4Joy #121.  I have the honour of hosting this challenge and as usual it is Anything goes and the twist I have chosen  (which is optional) is to to add a tag. You have a month to enter your projects and please have a look at the cards made by the DT. They are made to inspire you.

For my card I have made a screen card, and used the image ''vase of hearts' which you can find HERE

The papers are from Michelle R Designs called Love and Romance.

The image I coloured with Distress inkpads, added glossy accents to the vase and some glitter to the ribbon

The sentiment is printed on the paper

Cut 4 hearts as tags and attached them with a bow.

Progressive challenge at The Outlawz

Hello friends,

As I am away on holiday just for 8 days, I have scheduled this post and hope all goes well and you get to see it at the right time.

The new progressive challenge at The Outlawz starts today. If you have played before you will know how it works and you should receive your images sometime today. If you have never played you will need to go to the challenge page  send your name to the email address given and you will receive the image. Make your card post it in the correct place and next month you will receive the new image.

One of our DT members, Teresa has kindly drawn this image for us. Teresa regularly gives away some freebies so you need to check out her blog.

I decided not to make a Valentine card, but just one with lots of Love.

The papers I used were a free gift with a magazine  a loooong time ago.

I coloured the image with Distress inkpads and paper pieced the skirt. I also added some frosted lace to the points of the skirt, not sure they show up too well.

The sentiment was one I had in my file of sentiments.

Finished it with lace and some pearls
