Good morning everyone,
Can it really be November already.. but as they say, time flies when you are having fun, and I guess I have had lots of fun this year, so......here we are with 2 months left of 2015.
The Progressive challenge at The Outlawz this month has a Halloween image. I do think the image is a little late and as I am not into Halloween anyway, I decided to do a 'Friday 13th"card, as we have one this month.
The image is from
SLS Lines called Voodoo King and you can find it
here.
If you haven't played before, then just go to the challenge page, join then send us an email with your details and you will receive the image. Make a card, post it in the challenge and you will receive the next month's image. It is as simple as that.
The DT have made great cards using this image, and this is what I have done.
I used Kraft cardstock, matted green and then a patterned paper from a vintage paper block,
The image is coloured with Distress inkapds, cut out and put onto a green striped paper that I distressed somewhat.
Added some green mesh, that has been lying around in my drawer, with no idea where to use it. Attached 2 red brads, also been lying in my brad box for years.
Found the image somewhere on the internet.
This is certainly not my favourite type of card, but it had to be done, and will entert some challenges:
The Pencil Case #5...Eeerie colours
Dragon's Lair Design...Halloween
Daring Cardmakers...Non cute Halloween
Left of Centre #102...Halloween
Patti's Creations #115 ...Fall/Halloween
The Stamping Boutique...Halloween
I hope that this new month will bring some fun, even if it is winter where you are. Here we are just getting into the real summer weather,(the past month had had summer temps already) but do hope we get some much needed rain. The drought is getting worse in parts of the country, in places water restrictions have been imposed and the farmers are suffering, so we pray every day for rain to fall.
Have a great weekend and a good week. Take care and see you soon.
Love Ursula
