Hapy St. Patrick's day

To all my Irish friends, wishing you a Happy St. Patrick's day.
May the sun always shine on your window pane
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain…
May the hand of a friend always be near you
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you .

I made this card for some friends. It does not need much explanation, except to say the base card is actually white. The image was from Shelley's images, that I coloured with twinkling H2O's and cut out, mounted onto a WHITE nestie.
Thanks for stopping by, the week is almost over and time is marching on.
Warm wishes

B is for birthday

Good morning friends, After a very rainy day yesterday and thunderstorms the night before, we are having a coolish autumnal day today.
I have several birthday cards to go out over the next 2 months and am battling a bit to get them all made, but managed another one yesterday.

This one I am entering in 2 challenges.
Firstly The Outlawz CAS challenge with a recipe. Embossing dry or heat, 2 images, 1 ribbon
Second is for the Shelley's images Something green for St. Patrick's day.
I used a white card, matted green card that I put through the cuttlebug with a butterfly folder. Cut a piece of DP paper with a Nellie Snellen MFD and mounted a cupcake that I cut out. It was coloured with aquarelle pencils and puff paint for the icing, washed with some colour. The B for birthday image I cut out with a circle Nestie and shaded the edges with bundled sage distress ink. All mounted on 3D . Finished off with ribbon.
Hoep you all have a wonderful week and enjoy whatever weather you are having.

Quickie Baby card.

Hurrah!! it's Friday. Good morning all. It is a really beautiful day here today, but we are still having very hot days of 28 to 30deg C. The early mornings are just so lovely, with a hint of autumn in the air.
I needed to make a very quick baby card for one of my customers and decided on this one which I could also load onto the CAS group on PCP. It really took me less than half an hour, including printing a verse for the inside, and I was able to make the whole card using up bits from my stash.
I stamped the safety-pin and embossed with white, also the sentiment, added some ribbon a bow and a charm and it was done.
Have a wonderful weekend and see you soon.

Time to travel

Well Tuesday already, almost halfway in the week. Not that I am wishing it.... Yes time to travel, not for me yet... 4 weeks to go. A friend and her husband are also off to New Zealand this weekend, so made this card for them.
I used a blue cardstock (It doesn't look like it in the photo, but I took it very early this morning) onto which I matted DP paper that has no name unfortunately,
I rounded the corners, and added some detail.... faux stitiching, brads..
The Sentiment is from a set by Stamp-it" from Australia. I stamped directly onto the DP. The watch is from a set by not sure... Crafty individuals...maybe. I covered it with glossy accents to make it look like glass.
If you want to have a treat please go and have a look at A tough of Grace Jerri's blog This is where I first saw the suitcase card. Her blog is a feast for the eye.
This card is also for a challenge on a PCP group, Anything but Cute.... theme is Time..
Hope to be back soon, but life is a bit hectic right now.
Have an absolutely wonderful week.

Flip Book

Happy Sunday friends. A lovely not too hot late summer's day here by us. Last month I took part in a flip book swap. I really had no idea what to put together, but eventually came up with this, after searching lots of sites for books.
I made the base of the book out of 1 sheet of 30cm x 30cm cardstock. I then decorated each page with DP papers, some plain card, first putting it through the cuttlebug. Punched out dies, flowers, and added sentiments from various stamps. Some charms were added, pearls, beads, butterflies. etc.

I will show some more pages on another day,
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend, and have a great week ahead.

Going vintage

Happy Friday morning all. Another week almost done and dusted, and the weekend to look forward to. Yesterday I went and had some therapy.... retail that is....went to our local craft show, met up with a blogging friend Tertia and had a lovely morning. I was very good and got most of what was on my shopping list and only a few extra things, but enjoyed looking and chatting to several friends not seen for a while.
Now to my card. This was made for a new challenge on PCP...All things vintage....Not very good at vintage so decided to give it a go. and this is what I came up with, following the sketch that Lyn gave us.

Used a cream cardstock and matted DP paper by Kaisercraft.. The roses collection. Just loved this paper range, need to see if they have any more at my local supplier.
For the centre panel, 2 strips of lace, again a strip of the same range DP, Cut some flourishes with a Marianne creatables die and the centre "diamond" from summer shimmer card with a Joy cutting and embossing die, just slightly inking the embossed rose on the cut out and stamped a sentiment.

Finished it off with a layered flower, ribbon and some pearls.
Also decorated the inside, with the same paper, a bit of lace, pearls, and cutout with the Nestability ..labels 14....
Was quite happy with it, now for the next one.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone, until next time take care.

I also decorated the

March has arrived

Good evening to everyone. Can't believe that we are already in March, although to be honest I am quite happy, as it is my birthday month. Not that I enjoy getting older, but I love having a birthday.
This month the page in my calendar, which was made by 12 members of our RSA group, is a lovely Autumn page made by Nasheta Votersen. While all my friends in the Northern Hemisphere are looking forward to the Spring, we are slowly bidding the summer goodbye, even though it doesn't feel like it at the moment. I see the leaves all falling as the wind blows, and the mornings are lovely and crisp as only those late summer and early autumn mornings are. Soon we will be in winter mode and complaining, but first I have a joliday in New Zealand to look forward to.
Hope you all have a good week and I should be back later in the week with something else.
Warm wishes
