Christmas patchwork

Happy Monday everyone,
Hope you all had a great weekend, did you get some nice choccies??

Today I have a Christmas card. I saw a great video on Gina K designs - stamp TV last week called scrappy background and decided to use up some pieces of patterned paper to make this card.

The image I used is Christmas Paper  from DS4J, cut out and mounted on red mirror board.

Added a poinsettia that is a 3D peel-off. I have had a number of these for ages, and have now almost used them all.
Added pearls.

It was quite a quick background to make and a lot of fun.

An 18th birthday card

Good morning friends,
I hope you all had a good weekend, doing something you really enjoyed. I would like to welcome Susan my newest follower. Lovely to have you visit here and I hope you will pop in often.

Today I would like to share a card I made for my grandson's birthday last week. He has only been playing piano for a few years and has done so well, and he enjoys his music very much.

I edged my card with Pan Pastel and then matted black cardstock. The patterned paper is from a Joy Crafts paper bloc - Dance to the music.
I tore a piece of music paper, antiqued it with Distress ink and distressed the edges.
Put a piece of card through the CB with a birthday embossing folder and inked that with Distress inks.
Cut 2 labels with a Lea'bilities  die and added peel-off numbers that I had coloured black. Tied these to some twine, wrapped round the card and attached a music note charm.
Small brad buttons to finish.

Bryan was so thrilled with his card.

Will enter it in some challenges:
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #3...Anything goes
Crafty Calendar challenge ...Anything goes
A Girl who Crafts...Anything goes
Your Scrapbook Place...Anything goes with a twist - A masculine card.

With the start of a new week I wish you a very good one. It is still very hoy here with not much rain, so trying not to do too much outside.

Take care and see you back tomorrow with a DT card. Have fun.

My Guest Designer card

Good morning all,
Last month my card was spotlighted in a challenge at Crafting by Designs and I was invited to be a guest designer for February with their Anything goes challenge.  Well this is the card I made.

A few weeks ago I bought some new Crealies create a card dies. I was browsing her and the DT blogs for inspiration and came across Boukjes blog with some lovely ideas. This is where I saw this card and decided I need to make this.

This is what I used. with a close up of the flowers

Kraft cardstock. Crealies create a card die #2 for cutting the card.

All the flowers, leaves, doily were cut from various Joy and Marianne design dies.

The flourish is also a new Crealies die.

I so enjoyed making this card and was happy with how it turned out.
I will be back later to enter it in some challenges.
Clear it Out challenge...Anything goes. Stash ...anything goes. Kraft cardstock and small beaded stamens

I will be back soon, take care.

Have a heart at The Outlawz

Good morning friends.

This is the first colour challenge for this month at The Outlawz and being February the month of Love, just the right theme for our challenge.

Ina chose the lovely inspirational photo and the twist to add hearts.

Our sponsor this month is Paper Nest Dolls and this week 3 of the DT have used the same image.

We really would love to have you join us, so come and have a look at the DT cards for some inspiration.

Paper - I didn't have enough red cardstock, so I coloured my card and the scalloped circle red with Pan Pastels and it worked beautifully.
