At Digistamps4Joy we are still celebrating the whole month of September.  The blog hop is over, but the challenge is still ongoing to the end of the month.
100 challenges is quite an achievement, and for this special event I am having a give-away here on my blog.

Christmas challenge at Digistamps4Joy

Good morning from a somewhat cool and cloudy SA,
I have made the deadline with a day to spare. This is my card for the monthly Christmas challenge at Digistamps4Joy

Remember this is a progressive challenge. If you haven't played before, then you need to request the image and when you submit the card for the month, you automatically receive the next month's image. It is great fun.
I decided to go with non traditional colours this time as I have had these papers for a long time and rather like the colours.

Coloured the image with Distress inkpads, added puff paint for the trimming on the hats with a touch of glitter.

Autumn - challenge #97...Let's Craft and Create

Happy Wednesday friends.
We are having a holiday here in South Africa today, being Heritage Day, and it is definitely not autumn here, but a gorgeous Spring day, warm and sunny with a lovely blue sky.

Well it may be Spring here, but the challenge today at Let's Craft and Create is Autumn. The DT have made lovely cards for inspiration, and I think anyone in the Northern parts of the world, will possibly be feeling the changes of the season.

This is my card.

I made my background paper by stamping leaves and colouring with Pan Pastels. I love this effect. Matted this onto dark brown cardstock.
The Sentiment was a freebie from Paulette at Create with TLC  Cut it out with Nellie Snellen MF dies
Added ribbon and a piece of daisy trim that I have had for ages, and thought the colours perfect for this card.

Digistamps4Joy BlogHop ..My winner

CELEBRATE with Digistamps4Joy

Welcome to the Digistamps4Joy CELEBRATIONS. We are celebrating our 100th Blog Challenge with a Blog Hop running from 3 – 16 September 2014, a month long challenge, and ad hoc prizes during the month .


Our first challenge on our new blog was on the 23rd February 2012, and we are thrilled to still have you as our 'fans' after 2 and a half years! As a big THANK YOU to all of you, we are holding a BLOG HOP where you can win many prizes, including more of our fabulous digistamps!  Here is the card I made for the Blog Hop

It is a a multi fold card using some papers from my stash. They are from Wilson and Maclagen. Inked all the edges with walnut stain.

The image is 'My special Cupcake', coloured with Distress inkpads and cut out with a Nellie Snellen oval die MFD047. Added a gem to the flower and a pearl drop to the cupcake

For the front 'gates' I used a Marianne Design Creatables die LR0269
The banner is also a MD Craftable die CR1281. I added glitter to the letters.

The sentiment is computer generated.


The message on the inside is a stamp from Country Crafts a local company

Choose your own colours this week at the Outlawz

Good morning friends,
It certainly seems like spring has arrived here. The days are lovely and warm, the grass is turning green and lots of new shoots on the trees...a great time.

The colour challenge at The Outlawz this week is once again a special one, where you get to make lots of choices. We give you one colour and you select 2 more from the inspirational photo and also your own TWIST

Penny chose the lovely inspirational photo, so now it is over to you.

This is my card, and the colours I chose are  Tiger's glow,  yellow and black...The twist - no designer paper

 Paper - I decided on no patterned paper, used yellow and black cardstock, so that the image stood out.
Image - I chose to use a precoloured digi. (the first time, and it felt a little like cheating - as I do love to colour) It was from a sheet of precoloured - 'Marigolds and Morpho'. You can find it HERE I used the yellow Marigold trio. Printed 2 pictures and cut out one of the flowers to layer it.
Added pearls for the centres.
The sentiment is from the flower set and there are a selection of sentiments to use.

This was really quick to do, and as I have limited time at the moment ...a pleasure to use.
