Good morning friends,Yikes it  is Saturday and the first week of October is history. Hope you all had a good productive week. I haven't been making many cards for challenges, but putting together kits, for a number of classes last week and this coming week. Just so many to do. The card I am showing today, is an "old faithful" the tri shutter card. Haven't made any for ages, but was asked to do a class last week, so this was my sample.

Paper:  Papermania.....Victoria and Albert Museum, and a gold shimmer for the heart and doilie cutouts.
Dies used:
Heart and doilie are Nellie Snellen MFD
Butterflies Marianne Design and Nellie Snellen punches.
Flowers Marianne design
Sentiments: Whiff of Joy and an unknown.
Finished off with pearls, Seam binding bow and a lovely beaded pin, that was some candy a while back
All of the Marianne design, Nellie's MFD, and the Papermania range papers are available from Joan Country Crafts and rubber stamps in Johannesburg.

Hope to be back soon. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

Exciting news

Good morning friends and a happy Wednesday to you all, midway through the week we are. Well for my wonderful bit of news..... I was stunned a few weeks ago when I had a mail from Jen at Digistamps 4joy asking if I would like to join the DT.......Well of course I would!!, so here I am all exciied with my first DT challenge entry.
This month as you are all aware is Breat Cancer awareness month, so that is the theme of our challenge, and this is my card and what I used:

Paper:  White cardstock, DP...It was a piece and I think it was from Fabscraps... a local supplier.

Image ...Digistamps4joy, Lady with the hat... coloured with distress ink pads, put in a little piece of a feather in the hat and some seed beads for her necklace. Cut with a Nestie, mounted with 3D foam dots.

Sentiment from Digistamps4joy, cut on my Cricut .
Added a brad and a few blings dots.

I hope you like it.

Now please go on over to the Challenge blog and have a look at the other stunning cards by the DT members. Remember you don't have to use a Digistamps4joy image, but we would love it if you do, and you have 2 weeks to enter, so start creating.

Watering the flowers

Hi there friends. It is now Friday evening, last day of September and a big day for cardmakers tomorrow. World cardmaking day. I will certainly be doing just that, making cards, as I have 2 classes next week and samples to make and kits to prepare, so my plan is to craft most of the day.
My card to day was made for a very dear friend whose birthday is today. It was cut on my Cricut with  an SVG file from Creations by AR

The paper I used was from Wilson & Macglagan,,,green floral. The file included a seed packet, but I put a small posy of flowers into my card, so made a tag with the sentiment and decorated it with punched flowers.
She was very happy with her gift.
I am entering it in the following challenges:
Cricutblog...world card making day
Aud Sentiments....Happy Birthday

Have a wonderful weekend, and enjoy the day tomorrow.

A little gift box

Hello friends,
Thursday already, so the weekend is truly in sight.  Today I have a box to show. It was made for the Duo challenge with a free template. If you apply for the template you need to do the challenge, so I have just sneeked mine in. Wanted to take some more angles of the box, but the battery on the camera  died, so will have to make do with just this one.

Paper ......Bazzil cardstock and the DP from Wilson & McClaughlin. On the top are 2 die cuts from Nellie Snellen MFD, they are not too visible and the roses I made with punches. Love making these.
Not much more to say about it really, It was simple to put together.
Should be back on the weekend with something more to show, but the weather here is just glorious at the moment....just really need some rain....maybe on Saturday...so spending some time tending to the garden and a little matter of a big tournament in New Zealand where our boys are playing tomorrow.
Wishing you a good day for the end of the week and a wonderful weekend. Have fun.
