Another Christmas Card

Good morning friends,
It is almost the end of February, and that means that my card using the free Christmas image from Digistamps4Joy should be posted in the Christmas challenge blog, or I won't be getting the next image. Well pleased to say I have made it. I had the image coloured, but just didn't get to putting the card together.

I coloured the little dragon with Distress inks and Twinkling H20's as these have a lovely shine. Added some puff paint to his hat for the fur effect and a bit of glitter to the bauble on his tail. I cut it out with an X-cut die.
The papers are left over pieces from my stash, with the red piece put through a CB folder and sanded slightly.
The sentiment is a Nellie Snellen stamp, punched out with a ribbon punch also Nellie Snellen and ribbon threaded through.
Pearls to finish.

Off to post it on the Christmas challenge and then will wait to see what the next image will be. If you would like to join in this challenge you can request the new image and then keep making a card every month with the new image you receive. A great way of staying ahead with your Christmas cards.

3D card in a box

Hi friends,
Been a bit busy this week and the reason is that I had the first of my monthly Saturday classes for the year this morning. I had kits to prepare for 12 students, making 2 cards each, so needless to say there was very little time for anything else this week.
We are also still busy packing up our craft studio, so every minute was well spent. I hope your week has been less hectic.

I have seen a number of these cards on the internet and wanted to try it for the workshop. The ladies loved it. I don't have a link as I watched  a few videos and then  made my  own pattern.
I used  a number of Memory Box dies, Nellie Snellen, Marienne  Design and Joycraft dies..
I really love that this card fold up flat for posting.

I will enter the following challenges:

At Digistamps4Joy we have just that...challenge #85..Hearts, which is the choice of Karin and we are halfway through that as well. My card for this challenge is a side step card with hearts, but it isn't a Valentine card, so no red.

The sentiment was computer generated, taken from a book of expressions that I have.

On the Digistamps4Joy blog you will be able to see all the lovely cards made by my fellow teammates and they are stunning, so hop on over and take a look. Hello again bloggers,
As I said earlier, I would be back today.
This time my card is for  challenge # 88 at  Let's Craft and Create with the theme Fabric or Felt. The DT have used fabric and felt so cleverly on their projects, so please go and visit for some inspiration.

I was happy with this  theme as I have had some fabric paper in my stash for over a year now, and have been saving it because it just looks so pretty...every heard this before..LOL

The fabric is adhered to a paper backing and is from DCWV, this I matted onto a pink cardstock, that I coloured with Distress ink..aged mahogany.

The photo this week was the choice of Ina. The colour we are required to use is Rose red and 2 colours of your choice, just tell us which they are. You also get to decide the twist, so don't forget to mention what it is.

For my card I used the colours Rose red, green and grey.
The twist is to add metal.

Recipe:
Red cardstock.
DP from a paper bloc 'Back in Time' from Joycrafts. It was very light green so added extra colour with Pan Pastel chalks.

Clock diecut is from Marianne Designs. Cut it from silver foil and coloured it with alcohol inks.

The sentiment was found on the internet, printed and cut with an X-cut die.

First Christmas card this year.

Happy Friday everyone,
My second posting today as I am trying to catch up with cards that I have finished, but not posted yet.

I decided that I need to get Christmas cards made early this year. I did it a few years ago and it was lovely having a head start when the time came for seriously getting cards made.

Here is my first one, that I did in fact start before Christmas, but with going away mid December, it just never got done. I joined a Christmas card group  Christmas 2014 Club run by Lady Anne at Art and Images by Kim. All you have to do is make 2 cards every month and post them to the group. I just think it is a brilliant idea to get going with my cards.

I used an embossing folder (sorry no name on it) and then coloured the embossed detail with Pan Pastel chalks
Added some Pontura pearl drops to the red berries.

Matted this onto red card.

I cut a slit in the card for the gingham ribbon to go through and added a bow.

The sentiment is from a set of Nellie Snellen.

This was such an easy one to do and will be using this embossing folder a lot more this year.

Entering the following challenges:

Chalk N Stock...Anything goes
Crafty Ribbons challenge #75...Anything goes
Crimbo Crackers challenge #57...Christmas happiness
Paper Crafting Journey...Emboss that
Sister Act Card challenge #43...Anything goes

Crafting from the Heart #6...Anything goes/use red
Craft Dee Bowz...Anything goes with a handmade bow
