Is it pumpkin time???

Hello to all my friends,
Wow, Wednesday has come and gone, and even though this is a short week for us, I am not sure where the last days have flown to.
My card was made with 2 challenges in mind.

The first is the Duo Challengeat Annette's Creafarm. She offers a free template, but you have to enter the challenge, or will not be entitled to another the next month. This month it was a mushroom, but instead of making a card with the template I made the mushroom and then attached it to my card.
The papers I used for the mushroom and the background were from a pad 'Garden Variety' by Cosmo Cricket.
The second challenge is Noor Design Facebook Group.  Jolanda offered a free digi...Timothy with Pumpkin for this group.
I coloured it with distress inks, cut it out and mounted it in front of the musroom. Added a fend and leaf branch from Marianne Designs and an extra couple of pumpkins I got as a freebie long ago.

I will enter the following challenges:
The Paper Shelter...Anything goes
Simon says Stamp challenge...Anything goes
Crafty Sentiments blog...Autumn colours

Enjoy the rest of the week, I hope the storms in the UK have no affected anyone...Take care and see you soon.

Love
Ursula

Coffee time

Hello friends,
Hope you have all had, or are having a good day. Talk about almost missing the boat...I got this image of Leah with her latte from Guylou's Inimitability a while back and was really wanting to use it. I saw a challenge on Guylou's blog and decided to enter it, but thought it was ending tomorrow...yikes I had a look a few hours ago and saw that it ended today.....so had to get going. Luckily I had already coloured it, so just had to get some papers together.

The challenge was A....apple red, B...bling and C...charm, that was the difficult part, but managed to find something. This is what I came up with. Coloured the image with destress inks, cut it out with a scollpoped oval, a X-cut and Nellie Snellen die for the sentiment which I printed on the computer. The papers are from a pad ...Lost and found by Madison Ave, The coffee stamp was a gift from a friend when I fist started card making and has no name. Finished off with bling, pearls ribbon and a charm.

Now off to see if I can enter another challenge or two.
Guylou's Inimitability challenge...A,B,C
Divas by Design #53...Lovely layers
Creative Craft challenge...Anything goes
Oldie but a Goodie challenge...Show us your ribbon...Charm is at  least a year old
The Crazy challenge...spots or stripes
Simply Create challenges..Linky party#3
Paper-crafting journeyMy sentiment exactly
MilkCoffee challenge...Use at least 2 different shapes

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday and then it's weekend....take care and see you soon

Happy Wednesday friends,
Here in SA the leaves are definitely not turning brown, but a gorgeous green.....but our challenge this week at Digistamps4Joy, is to use leaves as an embellishment.

We were asked to use the image 'It's here somewhere', which I coloured with distress inks, cut out with an X-cut die. The DP is from a paper pad purchased at a local stationers, but has no name on it.The leaves were an assortment using Nellie Snellen punch, Marianne Design dies. The corner is from a Joy die.

Sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.

Team B have made the cards for the challenge this week, so please hop on over and see what lovely creations they have made for your inspiration. We would love you to join us, and if you don't have a DS4J image you can still take part. Of course you would get an extra chance in the draw if you do use one. There are great prizes up for grabs, so we look forward to seeing your creations..

I'll be back to enter some challenges...just a hectic morning...

Colour challenge atThe Outlawz

Good morning friends,
Today being Tuesday there is another  colour challenge at The Outlawz.
The colour palette and inspirational photo were chosen by Roxann.

Our sponsor for the month  is http://www.inkyimpressionsrubberstamps.com/ > Inky Impressions
who will give the winner 3 digis .

I found this colour palette quite a challenge, as these are not colours I would normally use, so didn't really have much in my stash, but did find these 2 pieces of paper that matched the challenge....Now what to do with them...so this is what I came up with.

I used  folders in the CB to emboss both the grey and yellow cardstock, and cut the yellow out with a nextability. Stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a smaller die.
The flourish doily is a Memory Box die and layered it with a flower also cut with dies. Some bling and pearls finished it off.

I will enter this in the following challenbges:
Lollipop Crafts challenge #90...Break out your punches..2 different punches or dies
Make it Monday...Anything goes
Paper Playtime #84...Diecuts/punches plus a sentiment
That Craft Place...Bling it on
The squirrel and the fox...Anything goes

Hope you all have a good week, see you tomorrow with another DT card. Have fun, but take care.

Love Ursula

New image release at Digistms4Joy

Happy Sunday friends,
I meant to get this posted early, but went to watch my grandaughter at a horse show so here I am now in the afternoon, getting this post done. Today being Sunday it is the usual new image releases at Digistams4Joy and there are, as usual some really great ones. The DT have made awesome cards using some of these new images, so go on over and have a look and then make a choice, so that you could still enter the challenge for this week.

I used the 'garden set', which has so many images, I wasn't too sure just which ones to use, but came up with this in the end.

I used the sun, the hat, watering can and plant, coloured with a selection of distress inks, aquarelle pencils and Twinkling H2O's. The sun and plant I printed onto the paper and the hat and watering can were cut out and mounted with foam pads. I put some texture paste onto the heap of soil around the plant, and coloured some clouds for the background.
The tree and fence are Marianne design dies.
The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy, with some sparkle added.

Good morning friends and a happy Tuesday,
September is upon us and for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere...winter is behind us, especially if you live in the drier parts of the country with no rain since March...everything is dry, dusty and brown. The arrival of spring with new green everywhere and thoughts of rain, even a thunderstorm would be welcome...just a bit of patience I guess.  Now onto my card..

This week the colour inspiration at The Outlawz colour challenge was chosen by Guylou, and the twist is a masculine card.

Our sponsor for the month of September is Inky Impressions
http://www.inkyimpressionsrubberstamps.com/

with white embossing powder. A computer generated sentiment, a button with some string finished off the card.

Going Dutch...new releases at DS4J

Good morning friends,
Yesterday was Spring Day here in SA, and it was  lovely, sunny and quite hot...but today a drop in temperature, still sunny but a very cool nip in the air, but definitely still spring with all the blossoms, new green on the trees, the grass starting to turn green, a lovely time of year, and today also marks a special day as it is my DH birthday.

So on to my card for today featuring the new releases over at the Digistamps4Joy store. A feast for the eyes with all the cards made with some of the new images to be seen at Digistamps4Joy The image I was asked to use is '3 Dutch girls' . The image was drawn by Jen Lee, who is of Dutch origin and having Dutch connections myself, this was a good choice. One of my earliest recollections of a concert, in my second year at a Convent school, I did a dance in which I was a little Dutch boy, probably because I was one of the tallest in the class.. OK now back to the present...

The image was coloured with distress inks, cut out and mounted on a die cutout. The paper was a freebie from a card magazine.
The corner is a new Joy die, and I just love it. Added 3 ribbons layered and a fence from Marianne Designs with flowers using Nellie Snellen floral punches.

Will be entering some challenges with this:
My heart pieces digital stamp blog...Layers, layers, layers
My Mum's Craft shop challenge...All the Threes...3 lots of 3 things, girls, flowers and ribbons

Have a great weekend enjoy the day, have fun,
Will see you soon.....Ursula
